Aww @ JupiterinVirgo.... that really touched me and it made me feel like you were a good friend that really cares about my well being. I really feel what you said is true because he keeps saying I wanna get attention so he's gonna start getting himself together too. I'm like you weigh 170 at 6'4 so you don't need to lose weight. I am not gonna let him discourage me from this blessing to get my health in order. I'm prepping today and packing. My 20 year old son ushering with me so I'm won't be alone and that's all the love I need there with me, my baby. Thank you so much though I really appreciate words of advice

Omg so funny!!! I have heard that so much lately from hubby... u r gonna lose your butt trying to be skinny like a white girl... I just laugh and smh!!! There are thin black females also world with no butt, I just so happen not to be one of them but they do exist , lol.

I think a lot of it has to do with insecurity and fear as well. I have talked to him and reassured him all that I can. We ave been together since high school and that is 21 years. So, this is typical behavior for him when he doesn't want me to do something. But I don't care at this point. Not about him anymore and unhealthy , overweight Diana . It's about Diana regaining control of her life starting with her weight issues so that she can live a healthier longer life( I sound weird talking about myself in third person, I'm not narcissistic,lol)

That's sad that he dropped her off. But I'm glad he came on board later. Hoping for good results as well with my hubby. I'm just not gonna press the issue with him anymore about it. It's my body and I am taking control of it.

@ Wison06 thank you and I truly believe and receive that. Maybe God is trying to reveal something to me . Just hard to go they this but I'm gonna be ok . Focusing my positive energy on Monday due to I'm leaving this evening.

Hi.. my surgery is monday dec 5?and I ordered a good bit from bariatric pal ... soups with protein, protein packs for mixing , hot chovolate with protein , container of protein powder by Syntrax( hope I spelled it right) and vitamin patches I ordered as well.

You kicking butt southern mom... I have surgery Monday and I won't be mad at all if I'm down 25 lbs 2 weeks post op, lol

I am really seeing how this group is beneficial for so many reasons and I hope to make some life long friends on here due to I don't really have any one to discuss these matters with. Thank you for your encouragement.

That's how I feel exactly. I'm just praying that he will turn around afterwards when he can see that I will still be me n love him the same. But if he doesn't see it or continues to be a butt, I will have no other choice except to walk alone. Well said, lol, very well said.

Evidently not due to he is content with me having a BMI of 39.4.... I'm 38 and want to be as healthy as possible turning 40 due to all the changes that come at that point.. I'm pressing forward with prayer and support of my buddies here at Bariatric Pals. Thank you all really ... I am really feeling a lot better with talking or typing to you guys, lol

Preach Babbs, lol. I am so excited to see what I will be in 6 months. I wanna get my labs back n cholesterol is down, no longer prediabetic, no more Coap, or heart palpitation mess. God is good and he will see me thru this.

It is about me and that's why I'm sticking to my guns. I gotta do this for me. I hate this is the way the ball has bounced but I gotta do what I have to do.

My husband is 170 and 6'4. He will say in a heartbeat he doesn't have to exercise he is just blessed with high metabolism so he stays thin plus he always brags that he doesn't have to eat much.... another pet peeve of mine... but I have asked him to do all that was advised he just wants nothing to do with this surgery and says that I'm going to regret it in the long run. I don't agree with that or I wouldn't be having this surgery. I'm a RN so I have researched this up and down. I just thank God that I'm not changing my mind again and going forward. I'm kind of getting excited ????

I thank you all for your encouragement. At this point, you all are all I have for support and encouragement and I truly thank God for each of you. No man ,woman , or child is going to stop this surgery. I'm praying things will change but if not, not my loss it will definitely be his.

Trying so stay positive and push through. I'm just mentally preparing myself for the worst in my marriage after this surgery. Thanks for encouragement
