  1. Congrats on your surgery and welcome to the losers bench... I was sleeved on dec 5 as well and I have 6 lap sites as well but mine is due to dsvinci robot used for surgery. I agree that I am most sore when I wake up in the morning. sleeping on my back is awful so I sleep on my side . I feel these little aches and pains throughout the day but I can deal with them. I weighed myself yesterday and I am down 7 lbs since surgery. Can't wait to see what 3 months will look like as far as weight loss progression. Well congrats and good luck to you.
  2. No I haven't bought any clothes....I'm gonna save that until I reach my 3 month anniversary to see how much I have lost and then treat myself.
  3. Beautiful name@ diana89131..... my first name is Diana as well, lol
  4. Yes ma'am.. we are gonna be here to motivate each other. I think at the one month mark we should post before and after photos and do so every month until goal is reached.
  5. Aww that's a great victory for you sweetie... congrats.
  6. Congratulations @ mrs. bunch.... I was sleeved on dec 5. I'm feeling better and I thank god I purchased the variety packs of flavored Protein from bariatric pal prior to surgery. It's like I'm drinking juice and I love it. I also add Water flavor packs tinny water because regular water makes me gag. Did your surgeon prescribe you protonix or nexium post op? My surgeon prescribed me protonix to cost my stomach and to prevent GERD. I am to take it for two months only though.
  7. Mine was , done with the Davinci Robot, as well @ kelrenee2016. My largest incision site is to the left upper quad of my abdomen. It is still very sore. But it's getting better daily.
  8. Congrats!!! How does a stomach spasm feel? Every time I drink something I have to burp. I'm hoping this too shall pass. But other than that just soreness and still a little gas pain. I'm day 4 post op. I'm doing better than what I thought I was gonna do, all glory goes to God for that and for him blessing me with an awesome surgeon.
  9. Lol, that's me. Drink then sleep... or shud I say sip n then ????. We will get there . Slow and steady wins the race. Mine told me the same thing but I'm getting freaked out after reading the horror stories on here about people having to be readmitted because of dehydration... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Im the same way. I do not want to land in hospital again. But i try my best to get liquids in and as much Protein as i can but not even getting close to what they are asking for. Of course they did say you wont be able to get it all in but try. 10. We are not claiming that and everyone is different. We are gonna do what we can until our swelling goes down some. Keep you some sugar free pop sickles as well to help with hydration. It helps me a lot and it's a nice lil treat to me. We got this! Mine told me the same thing but I'm getting freaked out after reading the horror stories on here about people having to be readmitted because of dehydration... 11. I def am. My surgeon told me don't become obsessed with that this first week because there is so much swelling and the second week will be easier. I'm trying my best but it's hard. quote name="NicoleR79" post="4341369" timestamp="1481323698"] Is anyone having issues with getting all your liquids in? 12. I can't wait for this one , lol
  13. I was so blessed... I only had to pay 17.00 to the hospital because that's all I was short on my deductible for 2016. I was so stoked. I have Cigna insurance.
  14. Mine does as well. He said a proper leak test can be performed during surgery after staple line is complete .
  15. Thank you so much for the encouragement. My pals on this forum have really been my rock during this and I appreciate each one of you. Good luck on the 28th. You will do great. I dont blame you. 7lbs in 4 days thats great. I'm like what somebody else said get that sexy dress and look what you have to look forward to in 4 to 6 mnths. Thats awesome. I'm happy for you. Its count down for me. Wed I start pre op for 2weeks and then Dec 28th is the day. Keep Going.... You Got this... Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App
  16. My goals are.... 1. Return back to cycling class at gym 2.wear a 2 piece bikini when I go to islands for my 40th bday ( Barbados or Virgin Islands) I'm 38 now so I have a little time. 3.get rid of Cpap machine due to I will no longer have sleep apnea. 4. Weigh 150 lbs and have no comorbitities. 5. Go into a regular store without getting looked at like "lady you can't fit these clothes" and pick out a size 6/8 and fit in them with no problem. I plan on reaching each of these goals.
  17. Yes the Pre op diet is not easy.but you want your surgeon to do a great job on the staple line and that liver needs to shrink in order for him to do so. So, it's a necessary evil. It will be over in a moment. And we will welcome you to the losers bench. Good luck.
  18. Hi @wilson06..... I am back home in Alabama. I reached home yesterday. I am a little sore still and I have just a little bit of gas but it is escaping now, lol. I have lost 7 lbs post op day 4. So, I'm excited. Since I have been home my husband kind of won't say anything about the sleeve. I don't care either way. I'm pushing ahead and make this sleeve do what it does.
  19. How are you feeling today? I feel a lil better. Hope you are feeling better as well.
  20. Good luck to you Hayley. Stay strong and be sure to walk after surgery to clear that crazy gas.
  21. Omg, you are doing great. I can only sleep on My side. It hurts sleeping on my back. I have lost 7 lbs in 4 days but dang you are killing it.
  22. I agree that he was trying to control me. But I showed him that I come first for a change in this marriage. I didn't do it 4 years ago because of all the crap he said. But this time I was like no im not gonna miss out on this again because it's like letting me goofy hom n that's not happenings again .
  23. I'm not at all. He isn't happy I went through with it but he has to deal with that not me. I'm happily sleeved and down 7lbs in 4 days. I'm looking forward to working this sleeve until I'm st goal. Thanks for the encouragement.
  24. Well I have a total of 6 lap sites. The biggest scar I have is located on my left side( not directly under my breast that was just to give an idea where sure was) . My upper left quadrant of my abdomen is most sore and I figured that it's most sore due to the stomach is located in the upper left quad of abdomen. So, since I saw that scar was the longest incision and it is the most sore, I assumed that is where they pulled the part of the stomach that was removed from that site. I did not have a drain . So, that's what the incision under my left breast is????. quote name="ambernoel" post="4341250" timestamp="1481316069"] ImageUploadedByBariatricPal1481316042.236648.jpg I have three cuts and my drain I'm not sure what your big cut would be under your left breast Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
