Ok so a couple weeks ago I went to my first sleeve appointment. I wanted to take some time and think about it. So I figured the 6months diet will give me enough time to really make up my mind. Well a couple days ago I decided the sleeve was best for me and yesterday afternoon I received a call they have my approval no 6month diet necessary. Today I know I should be excited but I'm a little scared I guess because it's a reality now. They are calling me to let me knows dates today. Could everyone keep me on their prayers please just to get rid of the nervousness I have all of a sudden . I thought I would be super excited has anyone else felt like this when they were approved?

what insurance do you have? i believe i have the same requirement and it would be great to find out that it was revised or something. lol

Congratulations on getting your date. It would be crazy not to be anxious or nervous, we all went through it and will be here for you, you are in my prayers.

I got the call on Monday that my date is April 4 and I thought I would be super excited but my first reaction was shaking and tears lol I don't know why that is how I felt directly when I got the call but I am super nervous. I am not shaking or crying anymore but I also feel very nervous and I think it's because I have never had major surgery before. Now I am just trying to concentrate on the positivity that lies ahead of me and trying my best to just imagine what life will be like afterwards and not so much on the surgery itself

@@mizzzzzzT & @@cbrown1 - I felt that way too. I had never had major surgery but it was honestly rather easy for me. Follow your doctors orders pre-op and get moving as soon as possible post-op and after you are able to eat pureed foods life seems a bit more "normal", it is a new normal, but definitely do able.

It helped me a lot to focus on my preparations. Finding which Protein Shakes I liked, making a calendar showing my food stages, buying all the supplies I'd need, etc. It can definitely be emotionally overwhelming. This will be a HUGE life change and you will be giving up a lot of the things you have known for so long. Or at least THINK you are giving them up. Just try to focus on the day-to-day and not get too caught up in what-ifs.

Hi I work for a large health insurance company. What your letter is saying is that they did not have all your information at the time of your review to approve it. This happens alot clinicals didn't make it in time because they were sent separately , one sheet was cut off when it was faxed, or the whole packed arrived after the review. We do not go back looking for that missing information we notify you so your provider can follow up and find out what we need. So the fastest route is to take it to the billing dept at your dr office. The billers work closely with us. Let them see your denial it should be resubmitted for additional review. If you were denied it would say not medically necessary or not covered benefit etc.....

Oh wow thanks. I was a vegetarian for 4 years and I loved it. I'm considering going back and I'm happy to hear that you did well. I will definitely make sure I talk to my doctors and stay hydrated. Yes I would like to join your group I will check it out on Facebook now.

Hello everyone I'm starting my journey to weight-loss on Feb 22. I have read a lot of testimonials and I'm so thankful to each and everyone of you. My question is actually regarding if anyone is doing this because they don't have a choice. What I mean by that is I have major health issues. Stroke at 30, renal disease , one kidney, and high blood pressure. Every woman in my family this includes my great gradma, grandma, mom, and aunt all had heartattacks. Me and my mom are the only two left and I have 2 daughter. One of which is obese and following my footsteps. I have been overweight for 25 years and I'm 37. I fear my life is in danger and I'm next for a heartattack if nothing is done now. I have struggled for so long everyone because obesity is normal in my family. food is a reward and comfort. Weight-loss is so difficult and as soon as I get started a week later I quit. I did loose 90 lbs but ended up putting that back on plus more. That came on the heels of my divorce so I know that was stress related not intentional. I guess I'm just looking for some encouragement because I feel so ashamed I can't loose the weight and keep it off on my own. I see so many who are happy about their surgery in here but I feel like I failed myself. Any advice on how I can change my thinking moving forward in this process?
