    food/School

So I'm a month out of surgery just saying but today I'm stuck in school all day! I didn't get to bring my veggies since I was in a rush so I don't be late to class. My question is my college has a cafe but not to big of options like Chinese good, pizza, salads, burgers, an a section for just sweets, what can I get to eat while I'm stuck in school?

Yeah, you wouldn't be able to have lettuce and such that early out. You can have chicken and tuna salad, which are shredded chicken or tuna mixed with mayo, though. From the Chinese I got chicken and broccoli

I would be able to eat salad? Like chicken salad? An I'm suppose to stay away from nuts A month out I was allowed chicken salad and tuna salad. I was not allowed to eat salad like a garden salad. No raw veggies that early.[/quote I'm making sure I can eat salad because my nut or doc never told me anything about salad but said I can't have any raw veggies

    food/School

Good point. At a month out I was on soft foods. So the hard boiled egg or yogurt would work, but not the pepperoni & cheese cup I mentioned. Another thing to check might be if they have Soups or chili. Our food court always has two soups of the day available. don't have Soup or chili here

    Gaining instead of losing

Ok, I am still confused..... 1)Your surgeon wants you to get up to 200g of Protein? That's insane and nothing I've ever heard of before. Are you sure those are your instructions? 2) you mentioned before you get in one protein shake and a bit of farina or Beans. That isn't even close to 60 or 70g. So what are you eating? Wants me to get close 90g sorry I read it wrong, I can't really feel for the need to eat so I try at least one meal a day and I'll just drink lots of Water and tea and Gatorade

    Gaining instead of losing

Your correct, that was the answer to the questionSo, what is your protein target? How much protein are you eating every day? The answer I am looking for would have very specific numbers. My answer is: my protein target is 100 grams a day. I get at least 100 grams every day. At least 100 or 200, but I can only intake about 60 grams or 70

I am so sorry you aren't getting the results you want. Without more specifics and information about what you are doing it is hard to offer suggestions. How far out are you after surgery? What is your Protein target? Are you tracking, weighing, and measuring your food? Are you reaching your protein target every day? Are you getting at least 64 oz of Fluid? Are you avoiding starches and added sugar? Are you taking your Vitamins and supplements as instructed? Let us know what doing everything your doctor told you means and hopefully we can offer some ideas. Surgery done on Feb 8. And I do everything from portions to avoiding to all my Proteins and vitamins, I'm in the mushy stage an I can't eat because I'm not even hungry just thirstyI went back to reread your response. You HAVE to eat, even if you don't feel hungry. You HAVE to get in enough protein and fluid so you can heal. Losing weight will happen, but is a secondary goal right now to getting enough nutrition so you can heal from surgery and function. That's the thing I don't want to force myself to eat if I'm not hungry

So I have to chill out more? My doctor said walk a lot, an by March to join a gym. The calories I get is mostly from my protein shake and water down no sugar added juice, sometimes from refried beans or farina I thought a stall was meaning by when your weight stays the same for a few

    Gaining instead of losing

I have my protein shake every morning, which is only 100 calories believe, than most of the day it's water or water down no sugar added juice an than farina or refried beans, but I can walk the whole day with no problem, an I take my vitamins
  24. NatashaSaysRawr

    Gaining instead of losing

I had a stall last week and now I gained 2-3 pounds So even gaining 2-3 pounds is part of the stall?
