I just wanted to let everyone know how I'm doing. I had my surgery on Monday. After sleeping for several hours, I was up and walking. The more I walked the better I felt. I was actually able to get my 10k steps in. I am know at the recovery house. Took a stroll around Tijuana. This city is so beautiful and the weather is spectacular.

Glad you are enjoying yourself! I too find the city and ESPECIALLY the weather beautiful. Can't wait to go back in September!

Hey everyone,
I am new to the group. I just wanted to see if there are any sleevers heading to TJ mid-march. I will be traveling by myself and was hoping to get to know some people I may be visiting with come March.

I am so excited. Tomorrow is my surgery. Thanks to this forum and others, I am looking forward to meeting up with other patients. Wish us luck and keep us in your prayers as we fly across the country and begin our new lives.

Almost 2 years post op. I went from a 22 to a 2-4 in pants and a small/medium in tops.

Congrats everyone. Keep it up. I'm a 12/2016 sleever. Was a 22 & 2x/3x. I can wear a 16 now. But I too am still working on the mental adjustment. Everyone comments on how my face looks so different but I don't see it in my body. I'm glad at the progress but my mind hasn't caught up with the body and the number (pounds lost) . Weird. Lol. Will give it time.

Way to go people. I went from 26 to 6!!!!!

I was a size 20W June 2015 and am now a size 8 (sometimes a 10). I actually need to shift and stop losing as I am below my original goal weight! I'm still well within a normal BMI, but feel happy where I'm at!

10k if I did it in OKC, but I chose TJ MX. 6500 total with my airfare. 4400 for the surgery, 2 nights hospital, 2 nights recovery, and transportation

That is amazing to hear. Dr. Z will be my surgeon in March for VSG. As the days get closer the apprehension grows a little bigger. Your review goes a long way to dissipate it.

WooHoo!!my insurance company approved my surgery. My date is March16th. My preop is Wednesday the 9th. That's also the start of my liquid diet. I'm dreading that day.. 1 week of liquids is going to be awful!! ????????

Hey Jennifer - there is also March Sleevers 2016 - March Forth. It is also a closed/secret group. I am a member of both. Great people.

I'm in Mexico, hanging out in my Marriott hotel room. Hubby down eating . I have to be in the hotel lobby @6 am for 6:15am pick up to the Hosp. I requested to be the 1st surgery appt.
I met some folks 2 days post op & they were happy as clams.
I did a horrible job on my pre-op diet. I hope they don't throw me out for a super fatty liver!

Had surgery yesterday also, just got home. I don't feel horrible but I am uncomfortable with gas pains in my back and chest. I already know it was so worth it!

Had surgery yesterday, March 2. Feel great! Just made it home. How are you feeling?

Make that 5. I'm getting my on the 14th. So excited. I start my pre-op diet on March 1, but decided to go ahead and replace my lunch with a Protein shake. I still eat Breakfast and dinner, but that way I wont go from 3 meals to 1 a day. Tiptoeing into the pool.

Surgery was today! Wow I still can't believe it. Im a little uncomfortable but over all the pain isn't bad yet. I've only had a few ice chips and 4 table spoons of Water. Hopefully I'll have a good night and get to sleep more.
