  1. I'm a nurse here & also considering the lap-band procedure. I can tell you that Dr. Gooden & Dr. Sherman @ University Hospital are very well-thought-of GI docs who can probably meet your need. At Trinity Hospital, Dr. Blaney is your man. Not so sure about MCG, though they are the area's only teaching facility and would be bound to have someone. Haven't heard anything good about Doctor's. Hope this helps if you haven't already found anyone...
