Good for you! I am at a stand still and have been for about a year but as long as I don't gain I am okay with that. However I would like to get below 200. I need to see Dr. Michael Trahan because something is not right hoping my band has not slipped. Going to call him on Monday. So how much have you lost and are you happy with your progress? -

I am doing ok not as good as I would have liked. Never really had any support so I did all the work on my own. Did you get lapband rules? I try to walk as much as I can that seems to help best with my weight loss. I had a knee replacement in Nov. and I am still get back from that. Do you live in C'ville? If you do maybe we could walk together if interested. -

I am still here. I am almost 4 years out. Never been very much going on here. I would go through the support group @ Martha Jefferson. I would also be happy to talk with you if I can offer any help. -

Welcome Victoria I love Dr. Trahan and I feel he is a really good doctor. You are in good hands. I was suppose to be out of work for 2-3 weeks. I was doing office work. I never went back because the company was sold. I knew it was going to happen so it was not a suprise. Plus it gave me time to adjust to my new life style. The staff is great! I had problems with insurance I had Tricare and the coodinator did not know one thing about the insurance but she hung in there and made it happen. I have lost around 45 lbs had a set back in Oct. with my knee and that lead right into the holidays so I am just now getting back on track. It will be 1 year May 20. I have the Lapband he gave me the choice. The only advice I want to give you is to go and see him if you do not have restriction. I did not and it stopped me from loosing for a while and I got really bummed out about it. Dr. Trahan has never been upset he just told me if I thought I needed an adjustment all I have to do is call for an appt. I currently have 8cc in a 10cc band and it has made all the difference in the world. Good luck and I hope I answered all your questions. If not just PM me and I will see if I can help. Mecia -

Had my 5 fill today 8cc in my 10cc band I pray this will do the trick cause I have not lost anything in about 2 months actually gained about 5 pounds. I am not ready to throw in the towel yet. May 20 will be one year and have only lost 40 t0 45 lbs. Hopefully by my band anniversary (sp) I would at least like to have lost 50 lbs. -

Well I am over the constant hungry thing. Someone seggested Carnation Instant Breakfast (sugar free) and I tried it with protein powder and skim milk and it is simply amazing I am not hungry all the time. I also got some 98%fat free broccoli cheese soup and OMG it was sooo good. I think the best thing was it was not cream of chicken. So I feel like I can run this race now. Thanks for the words of incouragement! -

I am 8 days post op and I was only on clears for 5 days post op. On day 4 I started having the gas. After I had a BM on the 6&7 day the gas seems to have eased quite a bit. I have been on full liquids since Tue. and I am still hungry. Even dog food looks good on TV. A lot of my soreness has really gone at this point. I am really feeling a lot better even the pains for prior to the surgery are better. If you are walking that is when I can pass a lot of gas.Hope this helps. Mecia -

You have to end your affair with the soda. Mine is rice, Pasta and potatoes. If I can give those things up anyone should be able to kick anything. Mecia -

I am doing pretty good. Yes I am glad to have it done. I nearly drove myself crazy with the insurance but that is okay now. I will be happy to answer any questions I can. That would have been so great if I had someone to talk to prior to the surgery. You will be busy doing the 3 month diet. That was the one good thing about Tricare they did not require a diet prior to the surgery. Try to decrease your card intake as much as you can before your surgery that will help after. Stay in touch and I will help as much as I can. Mecia
