  1. Thanks so much for the kind welcome. I'll be sure to keep posting and updating. :tongue2:
  2. I picked my goal weight from how I have seen my body, and friends with similar height and body shape. When I was about 220-240 I didn't look very large(to me at least) and had the most self confidence I have ever had. That is my first goal after banding. From there my goal is based on pant size. My ultimate pant size goal is a 8/9, but a 10/12 is also fine with me. My BMI is not something I will base my weight loss on. I can and probably will always be classified as over weight(based on how I envision and want my body to look). That is something I am completely fine with and accept. lookingforself
  3. Really great thread! What I wont miss... -Alienating friend for fear they will ask me to go somewhere where I don't want to be seen - Looking for a job that puts me in the back of the company - Not going to amusement parks for fear of not fitting in seats - Seeing people from my past and me thinking their thinking "she really let her self go" or "she got bigger" - Being to insecure to go anywhere or do anything -Spending all my time at home - Not have self confidence - Having to pull down my shirt as I walk, or when I get out of a seat - Becoming afraid of people and their reactions and thoughts of me - Not finding age appropriate clothes The list can go on. The best way I can sum up what I wont miss I wont miss not having a life
  4. Hi everyone, Long time lurker, but I finally decided to post. I'm pre-op, have been since September of 07. The month that I finally had my consultation with my doctor, and got all the paper work I needed to be filled out I had insurance issues. Finally I am back in motion and some of my appointments have been schedule. I'm very excited to start this journey, and looking forward to a better life. See everyone around the boards lookingforself
