I feel for you. I was banded 3/26/08. I've lost 55 lb, but I haven't been good with my eating lately. I found a group at work to exercise with twice a week at lunch, that's been helping a lot. I went for a fill 2 weeks ago, thinking that would help, but I'm too tight now so I"m throwing up. You already took the first step and posted on here that you need help. That's good. Make a plan for yourself, don;t just eat weight watchers food, join weight watchers too help get you on track. Talk to a close friend who will join in you on your quest not just to lose weight, but to help get your lifestyle back on track. Best of luck to you!

Keep working hard! Everyone has doubts. You can do it! You can lose the weight! It's all worth it, you'll feel better physically & emotionally! I think everyone on this board would be happy to give you advise & mtivation!

I was self pay at sub surgical care w/ Dr Rantis. I was happy with him, but some of the staff isn;t too competent. When I was scheduling a follow up appt, the woman at the desk wrote it on a card, then said to make sure I keep the card, in case "somethng happened" to my appointment. Going to the EGV office has fewer people than Arl hts, but he's not in EGV as often. After surgery, I got billed a second time for a few things, even got billed ofr my free fills, when I called them on it, I was told to disregard the bills.

I had mine on a Wednesday and went back on Monday, the amount of time was fine. Just go slow getting in & out of your car to be sure!

My first fill was 2 cc in a 10 cc band (didn't know my band size until then). I was scared it was too aggressive, but it was a good fill. I definitely felt the difference and it helped me lose 7 lbs in a month.

I live in Del Lago, by the Target at Meacham & Higgins. But I work all the way in Naperville, pick up my daughter in Wood Dale, then get home about 530-6 during the week. If you ever want to meet up, I'd love to. I'm trying to go bike riding on Saturdays. I want to work my way up to go to the bridge over 53 and into Busse Woods from there. I had my 2nd fill on 6/10, 1 cc. Total is 2.5 cc in 10cc band. I've been eating bad things lately & haven't lost anything. Next appt is 7/24.

I have crunchy knees too, but it's getting better with the weight loss. I don't notice them as much anymore. I think the longer you wait to lose weight, the worse they will get.

I started thinking about surgery 3 years ago, had it done 3/26/08, I'm very happy. But it's not a miracle, you still have to work hard to lose the weight. you have bad days, eat something bad and your stomache hurts like no other pain in the world, or you get gas pains that actually end up in your neck. I'm losing hair like crazy, lots of doc appts, It's not easy. But the surgery has given me hope. I never realized how much emotional eating I did, or eating out of boredom, that;s my biggest fight now.

I would be interested in meeting lapbanders as well. If we meet on a Saturday, I need to bring my 18 month old daughter if that's OK (hubby works Saturdays).

I got my 2nd fill on 6/10. I've only lost 1 lb since then. I was worried it was going to be to tight, but it's not. 1st fill was 2cc 2nd fill 1 cc. Can you tell me how to add the ticker? I've been searching on how to do add it, I already created one on ticker factory.
