  1. It's my understanding that the lapband Is starting to show better long term results over the GBP.
  2. You may want to check out the 5 day pouch test. You can find it at 5 day pouch test . com. It can kickstart your weightloss. Good luck

  10. Recent studies show that the lapband is starting to retain long term weightloss over the GBP due to most stretch their pouch to 1/2 the original size the their stomach & regain most of their weight. We have a lot of GBP patients in our support group & they don't look as well as the band patients. Good luck on your journey

  12. 6 weeks for me
  13. Dear SDgirl,I was also banded on April 23rd & I got my 1st fill June5 of 1.5cc. I don't have my 2nd fill till July 30 & everyone tells me our doc only gives 1/2 cc from 2nd fill on. I called his nurse today to see if I could move it up cause I don't have any restriction & she said the doc won't do it cause he wants to make sure I'm healed up good. OMG how much time do I need to heal up. Anyway good luck to you.
  14. Welcome Amos, All I can tell you is the lapband was definatly the right choice for me. I certainly wished this would have been available when I was 23. I would do all the research I can on the band & attend the nutritional class & ask all the questions you want. If you decide to go with the band then I would call your insurance co. to see if it is covered. Good luck in your journey.
