Any October Bandsters!??!?!
My hair is also thinning. I was at support meeting yesterday and they suggested taking zinc and biotin. They also said the hair will come back in eventually. :rolleyes2: My hair has always been very thick so it is not a horrible thing. The new hair seems to be coming in a different color. :crying: Yikes...I am trying to avoid chemicals on my hair because it is really dried out as well as thinned out.

Thanks! So cool...Good golly, Miss Molly! Shorts for Easter...It isn't warm enough yet here for shorts but you're gonna be looking great in those...was it a size 12?! I know it is pretty neat to try on clothes and they are too big, sure beats the bummed out feeling when they are too small. I was at my band doc today. My cholestrol is not where it should be. I think the fat content in my cheesy diet has taken a toll. It has gone up in the last 3 months. Oatmeal might help but they do discourage carbs. Is anyone else having a problem with cholestrol? byw Molly...did you say a 12? What size are you hoping for? 12 sounds really good.

Molly...Try shopping for clothes. I always pick larger sizes than I need. My mind has not caught up with my body. Yesterday I bought a pair of capris. They looked like they were running small so I bought a size bigger than the other things I am wearing without trying them on. Sam's does not have a fitting room. When I got home they were 2 sizes too big. Sure feels better than finding them to be too small.

Julie, How nice. I looked at the site and then read your input. You are obviously a very intelligent and lovely person. I am glad you are not holding yourself back anymore. Good things are ahead for you.

Excellent Karen! You are doing great. Does not sound like any bad habits are in control. Keep up the great work.

Bridgette, You are doing wonderfully. You have had tremendous success. I think you may need to reassess your expectations. You've lost over 50 pounds in about 6 months. That's really terrific. Be nice to yourself and not so demanding. Your family that has not seen you recently is going to be amazed at what they see on Easter! I am very proud of what you have done so far.

The fill has kicked in!

Thanks for the congrats ladies. The next step I am wondering about is maintenance. Maintenance has always been my problem after a weight loss. Congrats to all of you on your successes. We have a life long bond from traveling this road together.

My experience is much different than yours. I feel the change right away when I get a fill. Then it seems to loosen up after a few days. When I had my last fill it felt almost too tight for a few days. When it eased up a bit I knew I had found my sweet spot. I think your situation is farily unique.

Congrats Molly! I sure hope everyone will continue to keep in touch. Many people don't seem to have written in lately and I wonder about them. Hopefully they are all doing really well and are just too busy with their new life to check in.

Any October Bandsters!??!?!
Hi Cyndy, You are looking great! I don't have any advice for you. I just wanted to comment about how nice you look. The last suggestions sounded pretty good to me. Are you getting any exercise? That may make you feel better.

Hi Betty, I sure hear you on the exercise. I need an exercise buddy so we can hold each other accountable. You think we could establish an exercise group of Oct 08 bandsters and log our progress. How could we motivate each other?

Any October Bandsters!??!?!
I am not sure how big my band is. Doc told me but I have forgotten. I do know I have 6 cc in it. Another lady in the office that surgery a week before me was upset because she heard the numbers and I had more fill than she did. Let's just trust our doctors. They are getting paid well to make decisions as to what is right for us. Just as different doctors do things differently, we all react in our own way. Just think where we were on Oct. 1st and where we are now. We can all be proud of the changes we have made. :w00t:

I suppose the getting started in a group is the hardest part of getting into an exercise routine. Group exercise sounds great--creates accountability. I am joining a yoga class the first week in April. Hopefully that will be a place to get committed.

LoveIsLovely, I am so sad to hear about your little one. Have not been on for a couple of weeks so did not know until today. Hugs and best wishes for exercise...I have not figured out how to be motivated to exercise. Tell me folks...how do you do it?

But you are motivated or it would have been less or may be even none. Of course all of us could be more motivated. I could exercise more than my fingers on the key board...we are human. Be proud of what you have done so far...more will come!

40 pounds in that length of time is good. Not everyone will lose at the same rate. Be kind to yourself, you are doing great. Keep on keeping on. You will be fine

Any October Bandsters!??!?!
Don, Keep the faith. We did not find all this extra weight overnight and it won't come off overnight. Sometimes I plateau for a time and then all of a sudden lose 2 or 3 lbs in a couple of days. Keep on with what you are doing. It will happen! Besides, you are not gaining and you are feeling so much better in your clothes and better able to do the exercise, right?

Wow...terrific news on the weight loss and new baby! Just think how much easier this delivery will be than if you had not lost all the weight! Nothing better than feeling great & slim except for having a new baby! Congrats!!!

Any October Bandsters!??!?!
Hi Vickie, Every time I have had a fill it felt tight for a day or two. After that my body has adjusted. I have had 3 fills now and it seems to be my sweet spot. As of today I weighed 143.5 and the size 10 jeans I bought the other day were too big. I had to exchange them for an 8. The 8's are fitting loosely. Mentally it is a challenge to take the smaller size into the dressing room. My mind has not caught up with my actual size. I find I have loose skin on my upper arms and chin. I need to find some exercise for the chin especially. Glad to hear you are doing well now Vickie. Let us know how the fill works out for you.
