  2. My NUT couldn't stress it enough.....Protein and hydration! She said at this early stage we couldn't consume enough calories to gain. I'm 6 weeks out and still can only eat 1/4c at a time. Maybe a little more if it's soft. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  14. Just be careful with benefiber. I was told to take it by the office nurse and put it in everything as she told me to do. It was too much Fiber and caused me horrible pain!! Now I just blend a few prunes in my Protein shake and use a suppository when I need to. I'm not saying don't take it, just start slow. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  18. Wow!! I'm finishing my third week post op and still doing egg salad, refried Beans, etc. I'm still eating slow small bites and it feels like every bite "sticks". It feels like a lump.   20. Hi April 4's! How is everyone doing? We're almost finished week 3. I'm still eating soft foods. Egg salad, refried Beans, Ricotta Bake. Even the soft food is "sticking". Do you get that feeling? Like you can feel the food going down and then it feels like a lump? Otherwise feeling good. No regrets. Good energy. Meeting my Fluid and Protein goals.   21. I roast mine with red onion, garlic, curry powder, paprika, chili flakes. Whatever I feel like throwing on. Yesterday I saw a recipe to roast it with za'atar and cashews!   25. I am currently in the hospital. I called my surgeon with my symptoms and he instructed me to go to ER to be evaluated for a PE. Pretty scary. One blood test was positive so they gave me Lovonox, did a CT scan which was negative !! They wanted to keep me overnight to do Doppler studies on my legs. Waiting for results.
