  1. I had my sleeve on April 4 and have been feeling pretty good. Still on full liquids. This morning I was cleaning out my closet getting some clothes ready for donation. I got tight in my chest and heart rate went up. I rested and it went away. It happened again when I was eating my Soup. HR went up to 110. It's down to 96 now. I have my warning signs posted on my fridge and chest pain and tachycardia are on the list. Should I be concerned about a leak or perforation this far out? 2. For anyone in Houston, we have Run for Wellness 5k's. You can go as slow or fast as you want, they are free, and they have them 3 times/month in different parts of town. Walkers Welcome!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  5. I'm 11 days post op and have lost 30 pounds since my preop diet started March 22. Still on full liquids but progress to soft/puréed on Monday. Can't wait for a scrambled egg or refried beans!!! Still having trouble with constipation off and on. The nurse at the doctors office told me to take Benefiber, to put it in everything. So I did. All day long. That night I have severe stomach pain!! I think it was too much Fiber for my new small stomach. I was freaking out!! Thought I blew out my staples or perforated my stomach. I walked around and cried and after 30 minutes I took some pain meds which helped quickly. I had an appt with the surgeon the next day and said everything was fine. I threw the benefiber in the trash and took some Colace. But on a happy note, I've had this cool pair of camo pants in my closet for 6 months and they fit now!! One question.....I'm afraid of eating too much when I start eating again. Do you still get the same "full" feeling? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. Hi all. I'm 6 days post op and still no BM! Should I be concerned? Still on Protein shakes and Soup. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. Hi all. My surgery was Monday and I'm still feeling what I call stomach spasms. They make you stop and wince. Is that normal? No fever. No swelling.
  8. I was waiting for it but I didn't get it. Just wicked nausea/vomiting. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. I ended up staying 2 nights because of extreme nausea/vomiting. Once they took the dilaudid PCA away, I felt so much better. Very minimal pain but the nausea put me down. Back home now. Sipping broth. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  15. I'm down 18.4 pounds on Day 10 preop diet. Great. Sleeve is Monday and I think the anxiety is catching up with me. Having bad dreams like waking up in a panic thinking I had eaten fried chicken on the morning of my surgery. Then yesterday when I was getting my hair washed at the hairdresser, I got hot/flushed/nauseated. Had to sit up and cut the wash/scalp massage short. Maybe a teensy panic attack?? Has this happened to anyone else? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. If you're making your own Protein shakes you could throw in a few prunes and blend them. Or warm prune juice. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  20. Have you contacted your urologist? If nothing changes overnight I would really encourage you to go to the ER. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. I agree with going to the ER emergently. Didn't all this start when you went in for your kidney stones? All that edema sounds like kidney function. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. Good luck fellow Texans! I'm ready for April 4!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  24. Hi Deanna. My date is April 4 also, in Texas. I'm starting Day 8 of my prep diet. I'm not gonna lie and say I wouldn't love a juicy medium rare ribeye steak right now, but the diet is doable. I've lost 11 pounds so far and once you see the scale moving it keeps you motivated to stick to it. These forums are a great place to chat, ask questions, find support. Stay connected! Stay strong!
  25. I'll try to post that night. We'll see how it goes....
