That is something you should work out with your doctor or NUT.

Personally, I have never counted calories post op. I strive for a minimum of 64 oz lean Protein. I eat in this order protein first, then veggies, then fruit, then carbs. I've rarely made it to the fruit. I try to never eat anything that is over 10 grams of sugar, or fat, or carbs. There just isn't any room left really after the protein.

My NUT couldn't stress it enough.....Protein and hydration! She said at this early stage we couldn't consume enough calories to gain. I'm 6 weeks out and still can only eat 1/4c at a time. Maybe a little more if it's soft.
