Great Carrie! Welcome! I will update the list! My date is the 6th and I am so excited!

I went to my last consult with the surgeon today! It is ready to go! Dr. Kramer will do my surgery and he will be proctored by Dr Jamie Ponce! One of the world experts in banding, actually represents Realize. I will get the new Realize band, which has less complications, they say, and better port, better restriction, less erosion. I won't need to spend the night:thumbup: in the hospital unless there are complications. I was concerned about that, I am most fearful of MRSA from the hospital, and you are in less danger if you don't stay there. The nurses can carry it going from one room to another. I am so excited! I begin my 2 week low carb diet today, so I stopped and got my last Sonic burger with a bun. I think I will have a "bread funeral" :biggrin2:tonight. I will take a beautiful roll and a slice of bread and have a funeral! :thumbdown: Just kidding... but the thought just cracks me up! I better have a double funeral and have a second casket for cookies! :sad_smile: I do think I will be so happy to have my new body and be able to see my feet that I won't miss the stuff. Actually the more I get away from it the less I miss it! So! here is to protein! Long live the Protein shooters! :cool2:

Hi: My band date is June 6 :thumbup:I am Vocational College Instructor in Tennessee. I was married for 20 years and have been single again for 18 years. :sleep: I have 2 grown children, 2 grandchildren and a new granddaughter on the way! I am excited about surgery! I have always had a weight issue, but it was not bad until I hit the 50s! Now I can't seem to control the needle on the scale! I want to have surgery to feel better and look better! I want to be able to play with the grand children! And maybe a new boy-toy! :sneaky: Opps, my current BF is not going to like that. :eek: Good luck to us all!

Bethany I also have Cigna and I can tell you that your BMI can go up and down, mine did. Acutally it complies with what their reasoning is, that you can loose, but gain back and more. The yo-yo is a plus to get approved. I just found records that gave my weight high at times over a 5 year period, all they require is 2 years. I also had the 6 months with different programs, but found 6 consecutive months. Good Luck!

Great News! :eek: My test all came back good! I can have my surgery! :lol:The excess fluid is going away and I am feeling great! We still don’t know the cause, but it might be something I am allergic to. I have many food allergies! So! I am good to go on the 6th of June!:sleep::sneaky:

I went to Target to see about a raincheck for the lake house and they said they had given them all out. :crying:I will check Wally World :cryin: if they are sold out I guess I will have to look for a beach house. I had to have my doctor re-send the diet papers showing 6 months consecutive, and i had to show a weight loss of 10%. I had done it, but the papers were not together. We resent them and it was approved in hours! Good Luck. PS There is no way to get around doing the 6 months, all the companies are very strict about that!
