jbflorida, I am have finally decided on Dr. Aguila, he is with Memorial Hospital. I have been to 2 others for seminars and this has been the best. The office manager Tina is a patient. On Tuesday April 8 I will start the 6 month supervised diet and then go forth. I also chose this one because my ins will pay. Vickie:thumbup:

Hi Natalie, I too am on the beginning of the journey finally the insurance company has got things straight so that I can start the 6 months of supervised diet. I have lost 25lbs on my own. I am very excited to be able to chat with people who have experienced or will be experience what I am. I am a Breast Cancer survivor so I figure this should be a piece of cake. MUCH LUCK TO YOU. Hello everyone, I am just beginning my journey to a healthier me. I went for my orientation today and have my first appointment on March 19. This will begin the 6 month monitoring. I am really excited. Vickie

:thumbdown: As of January 24, 2008 Humana has changed their policy. Before you just had to have something documented in your medical records for the past 12 months stating you have tried dieting. No effective January 24, 2008 you will have to do the 6month supervised diet plan. I just went to my seminar today and made my first appt for March 23. Hope to be banded during the summer. Does anyone here have humana? I live in Tampa, fl and I have humana and I am told I have only 1 dr that I can go to for the band. The dr is Dr. Murr and he has a certain company Spectra that will do the work up ekg,bloodwork, etc... Please help I am in the beginning stages I go to the orientation on Jan. 28 with Murr. I have been to a couple of support meetings. Vickie
