  1. Newrose2016. The dr told me it would hurt more on left from the start. I am now 5 weeks post op and the pain left in the last week. Yay I can put my own socks on!! Oh ya and 37# down!!!!!!
  2. Wow there are some real judgey people. Use your own common sense. A drink now and then is fine if you want. That your thinking about it being a red flag is proposterous if you are talking about 1 or 2 social drinks. They have some alcohol hang ups to say that. Good luck!!
  3. I was 5 pm Monday and went home Wednesday. I think the dilaudid in my pca was causing nausea and kept me there an extra day.
  4. I had a complete hyst w/ovaries removed 2years prior to my sleeve. They put me on hormones right away and now surgeon took me off them d/t risk of clots but told me if I become too symptomatic I can restart them. 5 weeks post sleeve and no flashes yet. Hopefully this continues.
  5. Ultimately it is a very personal decision that you have to make after talking with your dr and your research. Good luck!!
  6. I had mine 1/18. On soft foods now pat-303 today 268.4. I bought pureprotein by nestle on Amazon and put it in stuff to add protein. Works great!!!
  7. I was 2-1/2 weeks post op and we went to Vegas. I had a drink a day while there and was fine. In fact I could have had more but didn't. I chose vodka cranberry. No carbonation and fairly healthy as drinks go. Good luck and remember moderation
  8. Agree babbs. I didn't like the idea of vitamin deficiencies and dumping syndrome.
  9. I got a binder but I didn't think it helped. Good luck
  10. No unless you have additional symptoms. They told me the zero yogurt was the best.
  11. I took fmla. I told some and not others. Hr. would know because of paperwork but it's not a secret simply not anyone's business to have an opinion.
  12. Depends on your surgeon. Mine restricts to 5 pounds for six weeks. Which is hard to stick to.
  13. No problem. I will give you you my # if you want in private message.
  14. Canned chicken and tuna are great and start around 2 weeks post op I think. And don't be so ridged if your a bit under or over its not the end of the world they are guidelines not exacts.
  15. I'm 4 weeks post op. I use the lose it app to track my protein that helps. Premier protein shakes are 30gm protein mix with cheesecake sf pudding mix. Yum. Pureprotein unflavored made by nestle with low sugar oatmeal and fair life milk very good and high protein. Just do the best you can and remember shakes yogurt Popsicles ect are all liquids and count as such.
  16. Good luck with your journey. I am a month postoperative and 35#down. I feel the sleeve has given me the edge I needed. I simply ate too fast and too much of all the right foods.
  17. Sorry you might need a new pcp. Mine was the one who encouraged me to have surgery. You need support not negativity during this time.
  18. I also had mine 1/18/16. I hated pca pump with dilaudid made me nauseous. The sent me home on norco I just cut them in half. I only have pain in 1 spot on my belly left side like a intense burning. Anyone else having that? I am still getting left shoulder pain from gas, gas x strips and a heating pad help. I am now 10 days post op and 10# down since surgery. Good luck!!
  19. I just had mine there 1/18/16. Dr. Taylor. I stayed 2 nights but I was not taken to surgery until almost 5 pm and went home by lunch on Wednesday. I thought they did a good job,I am an or nurse so I should have known to push for first of the day surgery. When I weighed in to pre op I was 10# down from pat 1 week earlier and am 10 days post and have lost additional 10#. The staff was nice and helpful. The facility was a little on the older side but clean. I went there because I am self pay and that's what they do all the time so they are the best. In this area at least.
