  1. You can find the Multivitamin patch at PatchMD.com or here at the bariatric pal store. I'm aware of what I need to take- and my Physicians Assistant told me at my 10 day follow up that I was to start the following day. Everyone is different. Our bodies are different, and Our illnesses are different. I know what I was told to do/not do. Even in the slight chance you are a physician, you're not MY physician, therefore I would appreciate that when I say what I was told to take & when, that you would BACK OFF.
  2. I was told in the hospital not to take Vitamins until instructed to do so.. And I wasn't told to do so until my appointment on my 10th day post op.
  3. That's what I said. I ordered the vitamin patch a week ago, it just hasn't come in yet. I wasn't supposed to start taking them til day 11, anyway.. So I'm only a few days behind.
  4. Pittsburgh, PA here [emoji137]????
  5. Where do you get the nutritional cheese? Sent from my XT1254 using the BariatricPal App It's in more high end grocery places. Google it, and it might bring up where you can find it.
  6. I get the same pain bending over.. I'm an ekg/ cardiac monitor tech, so I also have a lot of bending required in my work. I have 2 more weeks before I have to go back to work, though. See your doctor about the lumps!
  7. It's possible- I do have 3 toddlers.. But I haven't been having telltale signs of having a virus. I'm hoping I'm just having a weird couple days & I can chalk it up as an adjustment lol
  8. I never thought about that! I'll definitely look into it! It would make sense- since our bodies are going through so much change in such a short time. Thanks!
  9. I'm 2 weeks post op, and feel like crap. I've been feeling like crap for 2-3 days, now. I've been consuming protein, so I don't think that's the problem, here. I haven't had anything I'm not supposed to- I just don't know what to do. Could it be that I haven't taken my vitamins? I ordered the multivitamin patch, and I've been waiting for it to be delivered. I literally have just been so drained & nauseated.. I can't even drink Powerade zero- I can only tolerate water now. [emoji30]
  10. Like the cheese you put on popcorn..
  11. I'll have to check it out! Chocolate mint sounds amazing!
  12. My RN after bypass told me its best to wear compression garments to support muscle that may cause pain after surgery (like I was having).. You can find them for $20 on Amazon, just like Maternity garments.
  13. I just made a peanut butter smoothie with Vanilla Unjury protein powder. I followed a recipe given to me by my nutritionist- it is amazing!!!
  14. I also had a debilitating back pain prior to surgery.. 4 pregnancies, 9 years as a gymnast, 6 years in cheer, massive weight gain after said pregnancies.. Also, my posture is terrible after the weight gain. My back didn't stop hurting when I got my RNY.. And it seems to be consistent with where it was before. If I stand up completely straight, my right side of my abdomen has a searing pain- so it's difficult to make adjustment.. Hope you figure out the problem, & you're able to fix it! Hopefully weight loss and exercise will aid.
  15. Have you been having trouble managing your tsh & t4 levels? PCPs are able to monitor thyroid function, but it might be best just to visit with an Endo at least once a year.. Talk to your PCP, see if they think it's a good idea, should you need referred, etc
  16. Yes.. I'm absolutely terrified! I haven't dumped, because I'm very very aware of what I'm eating, but I have been nauseated just because a lot of things we're able to eat, don't agree with my new pouch [emoji45]
  17. Do you use an ice cream maker? This sounds amazing! I am obsessed with mint ice cream, so if I am able to find a way to make it- I would be the happiest girl in the world
  18. Has anyone dabbled in SF ice cream post op?
  19. Not everyone is the same with dosing and restrictions. I was told not to take calcium within 4 hours, too, and to take on an empty stomach.. Which I never did because I was pregnant and it made me sick to wait a whole hour to eat in the morning. Never affected my tsh whatsoever.
  20. I also take 150 a day. I've been steady and consistent for a few months now. (Thank God!)
  21. We made it almost 2 weeks!! Yay us!
  22. I am also hypothyroid. My weight has fluctuated from fat- to a good size, my entire life. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 2010- because I had seen a segment of "The doctors," about thyroid disease, and it prompted me to get tested. I've struggled the past 6 years... Trying to balance my Levothyroxine meds to get my ts4 & tsh to a healthy level, and finally have gotten it to the point where it's almost normal. Having hypothyroidism plays a huge role in the inability to lose weight successfully, if your levels aren't where they should be.
  23. If anything, your hypothyroidism will make them want to give you the surgery more.
  24. Never heard of it. Does it have any Protein? I'd prefer to add a powdered protein to other foods. It has a ton of protein! Google it- it is fortified with B12, too
