  1. I ran elliptical for 40 minutes every weekday, rested on weekends. That's it
  2. I really love coming on here to give updates because I remember how I thought it would be impossible to be healthy and get fit and feel good after everything, but seeing photos of others who have undergone the same grueling process - gave me so much more drive!

  6. Don't get discouraged! I read sooooo many horror stories, too, but nothing was going to stop me, and I'm glad I was as determined as I was, because I could not be happier than I am now!! Best wishes to you on the journey you're about to embark on!!! It's a tough first few weeks, but once you get a hang of it, it's smooth sailing! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  8. Congratulations!! It is so exciting reaching goals you set for yourself, isn't it?! I need to lose 12 more pounds, and I'll have reached my final goal of 138 pounds! I cannot wait! I occasionally post on this app to keep encouraging my fellow Roux-en-Y goers because I remember to journey I embarked on, not so long ago, and how I too, thought it was in reachable. 15. Best wishes! This journey has been amazing for me! The first 2-3 weeks are the hardest. Remember that even though you're an adult, getting your back patted after surgery for the first few days is the best relief. You'll thank me later Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  17. I didn't see my weight loss until I turned in the mirror. Most of the weight I'm carrying and WAS carrying- was on my back! But if you compare photos of before your surgery and now- you will see the progression! Sometimes that's what it takes. Don't get discouraged! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
