  1. I love Starbucks Frappuccinos [emoji852]
  2. Oh nooooo .. I have three toddlers, I need caffeine!! And isn't puréed food a different phase than liquid? Or you really liquified it ?
  3. I'm 7 days post op, and it hurts so bad to laugh.. [emoji19] I've tried holding a pillow into my abdomen where it hurts, and it helps a little. Does anyone else experience this?
  4. Awesome! Thank you! The RN in the hospital told me liquids, and I was hungry today.. I ended up choosing fat free vegetable broth
  5. Awesome! Thanks for the feedback!
  6. After 1 week post op, has anyone graduated to full liquids? Does that include any soup, or milkshakes or shaved ice? Please help!
  7. Well no coffee for me I guess [emoji30] chalk it up as one of the many sacrifices we make to get healthy [emoji51]
  8. I'm 7 days post op & I get hiccups too when I drink! It is painful and I have to push a pillow into my right side to ease the pain.
  9. Decaf? [emoji852][emoji852][emoji852][emoji852][emoji852]
  10. When will I be able to drink coffee again? [emoji30] I'm 7 days post op.. What is everyone's experience with this?
  11. Mine was April 18!! I'm going on 6 days post op [emoji4]
  12. I'm in Jefferson Hills! I'm feeling so much better today.. I was able to get out of the house, and I enjoyed it so much. No troubles as of yet- I lost 18 pounds so far, today being Day 5 post op, so that is motivation enough to keep pushing!! It's great to meet someone so close to home [emoji4] Good luck to you! Your date is almost here!
  13. I had gas pain so bad I couldn't breathe! The RN told me walking helps rid of it.. But I was in so much pain, I couldn't walk enough. I used heating pads, and learned that drinking diluted apple juice helps the gas pass freely! [emoji4][emoji4][emoji4]
  14. GasX- I'll have to try that! The gas is the worst part!!!
  15. I also wondered if it could possibly be my "new stomach" adjusting, or gas. Because I definitely feel a rumbling.
  16. Can someone explain to me what NSV means, please?
  17. Today was really a turning point for me. I started feeling like a person again! I folded laundry, I did some light housework, with minimal pain medication. Yesterday, I didn't know how I was going to make it.. But today really gave me hope for the next few weeks! [emoji846]
  18. I'm 4 days post op- and I can feel as well as HEAR my stomach growling. Even after I drink broth! I try to ignore it because I know it'll be worth it& as long as I'm doing what I'm supposed to do, I'll be fine. [emoji4]
  19. I got mine on April 18! I'm also 5'6", 223 pounds. Good luck to you! So exciting!
  20. No Motrin! Liquid Tylenol, you can have. Let me tell you.. I've birthed two babies naturally, no medication, and 2 with an epidural. You're going to want the medication. I don't like narcotics, either.. But it really does help so much. But if you're that much against the pain medication, you can always use liquid Tylenol. I tried that as well, but to no avail.
  21. I'm from South Hills in Pittsburgh too! I'm day 4 post op, and I'm just starting to feel like a person again! Good luck to you on your surgery!!
  22. I also live In South Hills! I just had my surgery on Monday (the 18th) .. I've seen so many progression photos- I can't wait to be able to exercise normally and get this weight off!!
