I felt that way in the beginning, but had to be honest with myself.....I've been trying on and off for years, losing some regaining more...all types of diet plans, diet dr's, and diet pills. Changed the way I ate but never fully successful. Tried gyms, personal training, Zumba etc...after my divorce, my discipline was pretty much shot, so in order for me to be successful I had to admit to myself that I needed help and this is my help. Some people don't agree with my decision , but I don't agree with their decisions on what they drink, or who they date or smoking cigarettes...but it's their life, their lungs, their heart....this is my life, my lungs, and my heart and no one's going go take care of me but me. my surgery is now February 23rd!!! I start the liquid diet on the Feb 8th and this will truly be a test of wills. I've never done an all liquid anything for more than a few hours, so for 14 days...ouch...just looking for others who will be going through the journey this month as well... I have never heard of a doctor giving you weight loss pills prior to weight loss surgery either unless you have no record of attempted weight loss they may need to do this to show the insurance company that you have tried XY and Z to lose weight and you haven't been fully successful Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk A lot of insurance companies want to see that you have tried other ways to lose weight before they will approve you for the weight loss surgery Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk

So I had the psych evaluation and met with the Nurse today, so far so good. I'm getting cleared. But the hospital won't let me schedule a surgery date until I take my final class on Feb 17 Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk

Oh and glad to know my favorite foods aren't gone forever, I think I was going to binge eat for the first time like a chipmunk saving for the winter. I don't want to go back to my old eating habits but I certainly want to be able to have a glass or sip of wine occasionally, a taste of ice cream once in a while...little things

awww good deal Shelly thanks a bunch for that. I just found out that even though I went through my Dr and Psych, I still have to go through the nurse Practitioner and Psych evaluation at the hospital. Luckily their still able to keep me on for my original appt tomorrow morning at 730 a.m. Then the hospital requires you to take life skill classes which means I will be looking at surgery sometime in March instead of February. This gives me a little more time to prepare, buy the things I need for the hospital stay and after. I cant believe all of these steps but now I know why ...big life change. I just can't wait for March to get here !

Sandra I'm so scared of the mental setback being denied will cause .....it seems like it's been taking forever when honestly I just started the process in December
