  5. @@JapGirl you were told no Protein drinks either ?? hmmm so how did you get all that Water in and eat?? whew your going to make me really try to step it up!. what Iike a days menu for u? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
  6. hey @@Bluesky1 it seems that we are all around the same with the losses so that makes me feel pleased. Awesome job on your weight loss. My doc told me to try to get 70g of Protein in and to try to eat it rather than use the protein drinks. But she did say 1 Protein Drink a day is fine for now. u just have to watch the sugars and other ingredients that could impact your weight loss. I have to admit I'm struggling a little bit. I had a small Water ice yesterday and a piece of a cupcake. Don't ask me why, I just had a terrible craving for sugar. of course today I started my period which explains a little but I still feel guilty. I knew I wasn't going to be one of the ones to mess up!! grrr but I'm not going to let it get me of course anymore I enjoy seeing the scale go down too much Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk

  10. @@thundermama I'm actually doing good at this stage of the game. compared to other stories I read I think mine was a breeze. During the stay at the hospital my sugar spiked so I had to get insulin shots in my tummy a couple of times b4 I could leave. They didn't hurt at all. They were very good about allowing me to manage my own pain with the meds and clicker by my bed side so I never felt any pain, but it is hard to go to the bathroom because it puts everything including your bladder to sleep!! lol so I has to really try and push. When I left I mostly slept and never used the pain med's they gave me. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
  11. I went to the dr today for my 4 week check up and it was confirmed with their scale that I am 199!! I've been cleared to eat some more soft foods but I have to stop it with the nuts. I thought I wasn't making great process but I can fit XL shirt now instead of 2x so somethings happening and im.happy with it Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
  12. I stayed in the wilmington hospital for 2 1/2 days. I went back to work after 3 1/2 weeks. I also have a desk job but could have used another week. My body was physically ok but I was too tired to last a whole day Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
  13. Hi ladies, I hope you don't mind that I followed you all. I'm a month post op from my surgery and looking to find others in Delaware going through this experience. I had my surgery Feb 23rd through DR Wynn with CHRIAS. I wish u all luck with the surgery dates coming up Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
  14. I'm actually 4 weeks out post op, I had surgery Feb 23rd but I've been looking to fund people in delaware who have had it done Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
  15. I probably would have jumped in and got it done in a couple of weeks, which my friend did do. Shes absolutely fine and did the research on her own. But I'm glad I went through the whole process cuz it semi prepared me 4 what I was going to go through with this life changing decision. 4 weeks out and I'm still learning Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
  16. I don't get how people do the unjury especially the un flavored, I taste it in everything and even worse I smell it even in smoothies. Today I'm purchasing premade isopures from my dr's office and I've been making my smoothies with Greek Yogurt for the protein. creamy banana has 15g
  17. I'm on Delaware Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
  18. I like both the P3 and the Hillshires, but I find the Hillshire Snack Pack tastes soooo good and are actually more like a meal 4 me I get them at Walmart
  19. Hi I was sleeved on 2/23 as well, I started off on the smaller end of the scale at 220, surgery weight 214 and currently 200 at 5ft. I see so many people dropping weight faster than this, am I on track? what r u guys eating at this stage ?
  20. I do not drink Bariatric Advantage, I heard people like unjury as well ( I believe that's what it's called) Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
  21. Try changing shakes to a flavor you like, try adding Protein bars 1 or 2x a day and if anything be open and honest with your doctor, they know how to help Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
  22. It is very hard bit it's also training you for post surgery because your going to be on liquids again while your belly heals. You, Your NUT & Dr need to be on the same page and have a plan that you can be successful at. No one wants to fail. Good luck to ya!! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
  23. pretty much, although it seems different doctors and hospitals do different things of the same variation. My doctor wanted an all liquid Protein diet before surgery to help shrink the liver, clear out my system, boost my bodies ability to heal and decrease my chances of bleeding during & after surgery. Some people only had to do this 2 days, or none at all so it really depends. I'm glad I did the 2 weeks, I feel great and it prepared me for the liquid diet after the surgery Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
  24. From my experience, the surgery is a great tool to help modify your eating habits to get the weight loss that you need, but you also need to tackle and change the behaviors that have caused you to purposefully over eat. The surgery may take away cravings, but your brain & who you are at your core remains the same. If u had trouble moderating food before, you'll have trouble again unless you make some mental changes as well. On these sites I've seem people do both, I went through my insurance & the education process and I'm glad I did. It gave me time to deal with myself, do some research and get it in my head that I needed to make adjustments. I didn't want to spend time & energy to get a quick fix just to go back and did what I did before. I wanted to make it a lifestyle change. so I'm not sure there's a perfect way to do it, or where to go...different strokes for different folks. Just whatever you do, make the decision because you want to be healthy and successful mentally and physically! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
  25. Thank you, and no I don't need the pain medicine, thank goodness. This first week has just been so up and down, no regrets but more "did I really just do that ?" I just can't wait to get through the next few weeks and get to some real normalcy again
