hey @@Bluesky1 it seems that we are all around the same with the losses so that makes me feel pleased. Awesome job on your weight loss. My doc told me to try to get 70g of Protein in and to try to eat it rather than use the protein drinks. But she did say 1 Protein Drink a day is fine for now. u just have to watch the sugars and other ingredients that could impact your weight loss. I have to admit I'm struggling a little bit. I had a small Water ice yesterday and a piece of a cupcake. Don't ask me why, I just had a terrible craving for sugar. of course today I started my period which explains a little but I still feel guilty. I knew I wasn't going to be one of the ones to mess up!! grrr but I'm not going to let it get me of course anymore I enjoy seeing the scale go down too much Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk

  11. @@thundermama I'm actually doing good at this stage of the game. compared to other stories I read I think mine was a breeze. During the stay at the hospital my sugar spiked so I had to get insulin shots in my tummy a couple of times b4 I could leave. They didn't hurt at all. They were very good about allowing me to manage my own pain with the meds and clicker by my bed side so I never felt any pain, but it is hard to go to the bathroom because it puts everything including your bladder to sleep!! lol so I has to really try and push. When I left I mostly slept and never used the pain med's they gave me. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk

    12hrs to VSG Day!

I stayed in the wilmington hospital for 2 1/2 days. I went back to work after 3 1/2 weeks. I also have a desk job but could have used another week. My body was physically ok but I was too tired to last a whole day Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
  14. Hi ladies, I hope you don't mind that I followed you all. I'm a month post op from my surgery and looking to find others in Delaware going through this experience. I had my surgery Feb 23rd through DR Wynn with CHRIAS. I wish u all luck with the surgery dates coming up Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
  15. I'm actually 4 weeks out post op, I had surgery Feb 23rd but I've been looking to fund people in delaware who have had it done Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
  16. I probably would have jumped in and got it done in a couple of weeks, which my friend did do. Shes absolutely fine and did the research on her own. But I'm glad I went through the whole process cuz it semi prepared me 4 what I was going to go through with this life changing decision. 4 weeks out and I'm still learning Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
  17. I don't get how people do the unjury especially the un flavored, I taste it in everything and even worse I smell it even in smoothies. Today I'm purchasing premade isopures from my dr's office and I've been making my smoothies with Greek Yogurt for the protein. creamy banana has 15g

    Feb 23 Sleevers!

Hi I was sleeved on 2/23 as well, I started off on the smaller end of the scale at 220, surgery weight 214 and currently 200 at 5ft. I see so many people dropping weight faster than this, am I on track? what r u guys eating at this stage ?
  21. So it's been a few days since surgery, the gas pains that I thought I had miraculously escaped found me at home on the 3rd day and haven't felt the need to leave me yet. I'm dissolving gas strips on my tongue at a rapid pace, I think my tongue is now a pretty permanent blue. The gas from the procedure is annoying at most, not painful to me in the slightest. My belly is a perfect little basketball shape under my clothes, if someone asked me if I were expecting I'd probably say yes just to enjoy a conversation about something other than weight loss for a moment. As soon as I came home from the hospital, my body gave me another surprise and my period started. According to my calendar this shouldn't happen for another 2 1/2 weeks, but apparently the surgery wreaks havoc on a womans hormones & I can expect to be out of whack for a little while. Now remember those nice little blood thinners they give u in the hospital to prevent blood clots.... now remember your period...enough said!! My belly has taken on a language of its own and I'm eager to catch up and learn the language, but it's tough. Its making all sorts of sounds all day long, I don't know if it's mad at me or just wants to eat, but if I pick the wrong one I know it's going to let me know. It's become quite vocal, I didn't make it the boss, but apparently it is cuz it now tells me what to do all day long! At night to get some peace, I tried putting it to sleep with the prescribed pain medicine, but no one told me that the pain med's would wake my brain up instead! So for 2 nights now Ive suffered with some horrifying and mentally debilitating nightmares. Not the boogey monster under my bed kind, but some real vivid, action packed fighting for my life, waking up in a pool of sweat kind. I spoke to the nurse today and apparently some narcotics have that effect on ya. who knew?? I would've preferred a kind warning. If ya didn't know, now you know. I think i will stick to regular tylenol from now on. My mother keeps reminding me to drink my fluids & my belly keeps reminding me not to drink too much! Everyone has their own journey and so far this is mine. Everything I read in preparation for this surgery equipped me with what to expect & so far it all has rang true, except these minor little things....It's 3:54 a.m. and I think 5 days out, for the most part I'm doing pretty good. I'm thankful for outlets as such that I can share, read, and learn about others experiences as well because so far not much has shocked me. Good luck to all those upcoming and those who just had it, I look forward to reading ur story as well.

  24. Try changing shakes to a flavor you like, try adding Protein bars 1 or 2x a day and if anything be open and honest with your doctor, they know how to help Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
  25. It is very hard bit it's also training you for post surgery because your going to be on liquids again while your belly heals. You, Your NUT & Dr need to be on the same page and have a plan that you can be successful at. No one wants to fail. Good luck to ya!! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
