    Vitamin patches?

I used then. My numbers were good.
  2. You will not be eating big meas of pureed foods you don't like. There is room for choice here. I didn't really puree anything. Progresssing from liquids I added things allowed in the "puree" stage... cottage cheese, tuna and chicken salad, soft scrambled eggs, refried Beans with cheese, etc.. Seriously, at that stage I was only consuming 2 oz anyway. A little egg for Breakfast, a few bites of chicken salad... they were a great break from the shakes and liquids.
  3. Not one day of regret here. I felt the "WTF have I done" after lapband surgery... but never experienced it after the sleeve. I am losing at a turtle pace, but I am losing! I have no doubt that I will make goal weight this year. For me, this is so much better having the lapband that I just don't have any regrets at all. I should add that I lost this slowly with the band also, and still made it to goal... just in a puking, unhappy, and miserable way. I now feel like I am healthy, and can eat healthy foods. I wish I had done this surgery in the first place.
  4. "liquid in, liquid out" is common if you are still on clear/full liquids. I agree with above posts that it might be worth trying a different brand than you have been using... but honestly, I had about 5 days of that issue when I started really adding the Protein drinks- but wasn't yet consuming any solids. I think it just happens sometimes when there aren't any solids to add any bulk.
  5. Yikes! Sounds terrible, sorry you had to be in so much pain. Hope you have no more flare-ups until they can bust it up.

    Month long stall?

My first thought on the hunger issue, is to ask if you take a PPI? If I don't take a Prilosec I feel hungry all day. Stomach acid can mimick the feelings of hunger, it is a fairly common issue.
  7. Have you contacted your surgeon? There may be something else you can take that would help. Do you take a PPI? The stomach acid will make me feel yuck if I don't take one... even though I don't get actual reflux.
  8. I will be thinking about you tomorrow!
  9. Have you tried the Syntrax Nectars mixed with Water? They have flavors like Lemonaid, strawberry Kiwi, Fuzzy Navel, etc... and are MUCH different than the Chocolate/Vanilla most Protein drinks come in. They are more like drinking Kool aid.

    post op work lunches

chicken salad or tuna salad with sliced cucumbers. I like deli turkey rollups with some cream cheese inside, good with a dill pickle spear. Shrimp cocktail. I really tend to take a lot of leftovers.

The Syntrax blend really easy with just a spoon, they don't clump or leave floating chunks like some of the mixes do. Yes, the fruit flavors are best mixed with water. Fuzzy Navel is a flavor that I see a lot of people like, tastes like Tang. The Cappucinno is my favorite.

A scrambled egg is easy to order at almost any restaurant, or from room service. A Protein drink is an easy option also... When I travel I like the convenience of the single serve packets of Syntrax Nectars. They are easy to pack, easy to throw a packet in my purse to have on hand, and mix well with just plain Water.
  14. Buy some refried Beans... they are pinto beans already mashed. Nice source of Protein and Fiber. Heat and top with some cheese and salsa... or just grated cheese. Yum! Canned pinto beans are good if you add some seasonings. I like onion, garlic, cilantro, jalapenos... but I am Southern, and love the spicy and highly seasoned foods. Heat refried bean (which are pinto beans) and do a spoonful with some soft scrambled egg and top with cheese.

    Curvy girl clothing issues...HELP!

Old Navy jeans fit me horribly too. I have a pair of 14 skinny jeans that I got at Walmart that are midrise and don't gape... I don't recall the brand, but they were under $20. Great with boots. Great price, and just right for a transitional piece. I found two pair at Catos that were on sale for like $15 (and super cute with bling pockets) that fit great. I really think it is best to just go try on stuff. We are all built so different, but I also carry more weight in my butt and thighs. Just remember that a 14-16W size is cut much different than a 14 or 16 Misses, so trying on is really the best way to find what fits your new size. Go explore.
  16. Do you take a PPI? I wonder if the garlic and grease are the culprit?

    One Year Anniversary!

Love the positive attitude! I think 80 lbs lost in a year is wonderful, and even better that you are still losing and realize that you can still work this. I am also embracing the journey and changes... not just the goal (I am a turtle loser too, lol.) You sound like you are making the most of this and have a great attitude towards the life changes that can, and sometimes SHOULD, occur! Good for you on working on self-improvement along with this weight-loss. I bet your next year (this year) will be even better.
  18. Are you doing a Protein shake at all? Or getting much protein? It seems like 300 calories is low to be at the pureed stage.
  19. Not sure... he used a 32 Bougie.

    Coffee drinkers

I get it at WalMart. They have limited flavors at my store, just vanilla, Hazelnut, and Caramel that are sugarfree.

What can I do with...string cheese?

Cheese and a dill pickle spear, great snack!
  22. Looking good! I totally see the loss.
  23. I was back at work 7 days post op. I was tired when I got home, but it was totally doable for me.

Soup at 10 days post op

I still take Prilosec (otc generic Omeprazole), and if I skip it I get the hungry feeling all day.... which I know for me is just stomach acid. That would be a really good thing to ask your doctor about! Hopefully you will find that an acid blocker kills that hungry feeling.

    PillPack for vitamins

Nope. I take a Multi and b complex in the morning... bloodwork has been perfect. I should add that once or twice a week.... when I remember.... I take an Omega complex, Calcium +D, and coq10. But I really don't add those more than twice a week.
