@@tholbert08 I had a large hiatal hernia repaired as well. And yes, I'll be 55 this November. 3 1/2 weeks post op now and feeling pretty good. Down 12 pounds since surgery. 44 pounds since January when I first weighed in at the WLS Clinic.

Try a heat pack too.

How much sugar, if any?

I like the Isopure zero carb Iced Tea. Syntrax Nectar Fuzzy Navel. Quest Salted Caramel Protein powder, I mix this with a vanilla Premier Protein shake and a little extra Water.< /p>

Thanks! I just joined. Love to see how RNs working 12 HR Nightshifts are managing their WLS requirements. I had Bypass on 6/1. I head back to work 7/2.

I'd be interested too. I have an allergy to sulfites that is quite severe.

I took 4 weeks after GB but I have a physically demanding job and 12 hr Shifts.

Lol, I'm older too, but I'm going for it!

They didn't give me a goal either. I looked up what my BMI should be for my height and I'm shooting for dead center in the middle of that BMI range. [emoji3]

Two week Post op check went well. I'm cleared for the first phase of a soft diet. I've lost 9 lbs. I know my weight loss will be a little slower. I lost 34 pounds on the required supervised diet. My BMI/weight was fairly low at the time of surgery. I have 60 pounds to lose now to get the a normal BMI and 100 pounds total lost.

Good luck!

Feeling good so far. I'll be 2 weeks post op on Wed. I'm waiting to get on the scale at my post op visit this Thursday but I can tell I'm losing!
