I DID IT! This former 497 pound 61 years old who has lost 280 pounds, but still can't walk biked 6 miles for the Loop for Literacy. Raised $310.00 for the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County. I won a cap for raising the money and a medal for crossing the finish line. My Team was in the top 10 for raising money. Thanks to all my friends who supported me both financially and emotionally. 1 1/2 years ago I never could have done it. IT SURE FELT GREAT! Look at my profile to find today's pictures.

Now that the holidays are over, I may actually have a chance to eat, sleep, and shower. Maybe I'll even have a few moments to surf the internet and see how you BPers are doing. In the meantime, I made a side by side by side comparison of 2.5 years ago vs. last year this time vs. tonight, for anyone who would like to see what 450 pounds--->300 pounds--->180 pounds looks like. Here it is! http://imgur.com/a/dKzJG I am now 16.5 months post RNY. Who knows what 2017 will bring?!

I thought losing weight would be hard, but that was easy. It is the life after that is the hard part.

I am now just obese with no adjectives. Just 37 pounds to go until I am no longer obese. 139 pounds lost as of today -- 40 since surgery on September 28!

How good is it knowing that, even when you spend some time away, you can always rely on things here not changing... Same people saying the same things...

I got a pair of size 38 jeans at the mall tonight. And they fit -- and I mean for-real fit, not strain and wear your shirt-tail out fit. So psyched!

My week keeps getting better and better... Made some major decisions, changes and travel plans AND tomorrow I'm packing up the two dogs ( 110 lb Goldendoodle and 15 lb bichipoo!!) for an ambush visit to my son at the University of Iowa!!! He misses the Goldendoodle... And tolerates the little guy. Either way, all three of them are going to be excited and surprised!!!!

Move over Losers .... make room for me on the bench!!! I'll be there tomorrow! :-) Good luck to all the 18th folks!!!

55 hrs worked in the last 4 days.....nursing sore knees and other sore parts. Morning coffee down the hatch and feeling human. Day off today, tonight and gonna werk some extra shifts tomorrow & Sunday nights. Time for r & r today. Gonna hit the gym and then meet a buddy at the pistol range.....grocery store to get some tasty protein to toss on the grill. Maybe a movie later on when I get lazy. Exciting stuff. Hope you all are well and have a great weekend.

Am I the only one who likes watching the Food Network after surgery?
