  1. My doctor recommended waiting 18 months after surgery to get pregnant because your body needs to be in a place where your hormones are normal again, your vitamin levels are good, and you are maintaining so you can gain an appropriate amount of weight while you are pregnant.

Sleeve Buddy Needed for June 1st!

Hooray! It's nice to know there's someone here in MI who is waiting six months too! I mean, it's nice to have a buddy, not that I want anyone to have to wait six months! I'm a 32 year old stay at home mom with chronic illnesses. I'm looking foreword to being able to play with me son!

Sleeve Buddy Needed for June 1st!

    I'm from Livonia, MI.
  8. Cool! I live in Livonia, MI. I'm going to have the procedure done at St. Mary's in Livonia.
  9. Michigan! Surgery date will be June 1st, 2016. Anyone else form MI?
  10. I'm looking foreword to sitting on the floor with my son without fear that I won't be able to get off the floor of my husbands not home to get me up off the floor. I'm looking foreword to buying Victoria's Secret Pink clothing for sweats and sweatshirts not to mention bras and panties! I'm looking foreword to being able to chase my son around and not have to call the game short because of my back pain. I'm looking forward to my husband having that sparkle back in his eye when he looks at me. Not saying that he doesn't love me it's just that either we've been together to long (14years) or I'm not that attractive with an extra hundred and ten pounds over my doctor set goal weight.... I'm looking forward to not being so sweaty all the damn time, even in the winter. Sorry for the long post, there are just so many things I'm looking foreword to. Take care
  11. I'll talk to my two year old about being healthy and making healthy eating decisions but I'm not going to tell him because he's just to darn young to understand what I'm doing!! My parents will be taking care of him during my recovery as well as me! So, at least we'll only be separated for the two nights I'll be in the hospital. ❤️ I plan to talk to him more as he gets older so he knows that Mama had to work hard to be healthy and that he should too (but not in a surgical way, like, he should eat right and exercise so he doesn't end up needing surgery like Mama). This is morbid but I also plan on writing him a letter about why I decided on doing the surgery in case something happens during the surgery and I am not around to tell him when he's older why I chose to have this surgery and how much I love him. Like I said, morbid, but I feel it's almost as important as having advanced directives and a will... Take care and good luck!
