Woo! Stall has unstalled! When I went in for my checkup my surgeon said the weightloss would be a lot slower now. The first 6 months are rapid and it slows down after that. He said I can kick it up by working out. That's next on my to do list. For now just focusing on diet. I go off it on the weekends but I'm pretty strict during the week. Down 121 and counting! Hope everyone's doing well!!

Submitted my paperwork with my surgeon and it is being sent off to my insurance. They gave me a tentative date for 4/20 at 7 AM!!! Both my pre-op appt and hospital registration appointments are set too. Totally stoked and excited and nervous!
Any one else having their surgery and/or tentatively scheduled your sleeve surgery for around 4/20ish? Would love to hear from ya, if so!

I haven't been on here in a while. Glad to hear that everyone is well. I'm down around 74.4 lbs

I'm in Tampa, all set to have surgery on. 4/20

Hey all! Has anyone used Dr. Chavda, located in Brandon, FL? Any experience with the Brandon Regional Hospital?
I saw him for my 1st consult and he seems pretty competent and thorough. Online reviews are positive. Just wanted to see if anyone had used him and what they're experiences were.

Had my surgery on 4/20, in Brandon FL at Brandon Hospital by Dr. Chavda. Lost 33.6 lbs thus far! No regrets!

P.S. When I fast, that usually consists of drinking coffee all day with Protein Powder in it. Lightened with organic real half-and-half, and sweetened with organic Stevia. When my body wants food again, it lets me know with very strong cravings.

Ever since surgery, I have been moving to cycles like this. I did not know there was an official technique or method for it, because my approach to long-term wellness game for my own body is a little different. But I find myself intuitively alternating with fasting and then I'll bring my calories dramatically and then moderating and then fasting, and starting the cycle over. I intuitively know when I stop losing weight. It never has anything to do with food really-it has more to do with my body needing a breather, or to be replenished with extra fats and nutrients that it needs to burn and redistribute the body fat that's coming off. It seems to be working, because I'm melting away!

Ill be sleeved in 12 hours.... i am so nervous now..... and all i feel like is a big juicy steak! Lol
Not long to go now....

4/20! One more day! So nervous, excited, scared, elated! Ahh! Idk what to feel! I've wanted this for 15 years. I can't believe it's finally happening! I think that's the strongest thing I'm feeling now. Disbelief!

I read and did alot of research before surgery so I feel I was prepared for everything, and yes the shoulder pain was terrible everything else has been a piece of cake, I am 12 days post op and was going to gym the day after I got home so I have recovered well so far no complications, no pain in fact I wouldn't even know I had the surgery if it wasn't for the fact that I am still on liquids only.

I'm on 4/21. I'm getting this done at UChicago, and my doc just has me on a very restrictive pre-op diet. I think it hits the same calories and nutrients as the liquid diets do, but we eat solid food as normal. Very high Protein, very low cal, very low fat and carbs. It's...unpleasant, but now I'm looking at as a challenge. If people can fast for a month, I can do this.

I'm scheduled for April 19th!!! Good luck to you!!!

Andi...I'm on for 4/18, and nervous,excited and rarin to go. A bundle of emotions, I'm sure like everyone else. I have had surgery before, so I know what to expect. (sort of). I have a great surgeon, an awesome nurse/coordinator, and am in good hands. I've lost 80 lbs. on my own, and 175 to go. I'm already thinking about the skin surgery. I feel great, and looking forward to feeling even better. Good Luck with your journey.
