    January 14, 2016 surgery

Good luck to all of you as well. I had my pre-op tests today - took FOREVER but at least it's all done and I'm ready to go - 6 a.m. on 1/14 I'll be checking into the hospital to start a new and healthy life. I've already started doing the Protein drinks for Breakfast and Snacks and I seem to only get super hungry at night. I got a little freaked out when the nurse was going over everything with me today and what to expect in the hospital but at the end of the day I know I'm doing the right thing and it is time. So here's to a happy and HEALTHIER new year for all of us!

Hi there! From what I understand every doctor is different so I would definitely call tomorrow and see what they say. I can only speak to what my doctor told me which was 1200 calories max and one small meal a day. Hang in there - you can do this!

Thanks to both of you for responding! I am feeling the same way - I think my body in the past 24-48 hours finally accepted that this is happening as well. The thought of the normal fatty foods I eat is making me queasy. You are both right - this is the beginning of a new me and a new, healthier life. I will definitely keep you updated and hope you will as well. 2016 is going to be our year!
  4. Hi there! I'm scheduled for surgery on 1/14/16 and start my liquid diet on 12/31 - Happy New Year! My liquid diet is 4 Protein shakes or bars and one high protein low fat low carb meal. If anyone has any suggestions or words of encouragement they would like to share I'd really appreciate it! I'm both excited and very nervous! thank you!!
