  1. Being a bandster is very hard!
  2. How many total carbs do they have per can?
  3. Does anyone post what they eat (lc) here? I am curious as to get some ideas. Thanks!!!!
  4. I was just going to ask this same question, but I wanted to know if I needed more of a fill. LOL Thank you for reading my mind!
  5. Hi, Chicago bandster too. Day one Health. (actually before it was called that) It is nice to see other Chicago folks on here!!!!!
  6. Hi, I am there with you. I was not doing what I was supposed to do and I was not losing weight so I got an unfil. My Dr. said I would gain weight, but I knew better. Well back to where I started (maybe bigger) and I am getting a fill tomorrow. I am starting over. I am sad at this, but at least I have a tool that can help if I do my part. I am sorry about your story, but I know right where you are. Good luck in your journey.
  7. I am starting a thread to get some menu ideas. B- bacon L- salad with grilled chicken, cheese, and avacado D- taco meat with sour cream and tomatoes YUM What are you all eating?????
  8. They are not in my insurance group. How much is a fill there, and do they charge a fee for the first visit. A few places I called had a 400.00 fee and then a 250.00 fill fee. The fill fee I understand, but the get to know me fee I just can't budget in. Know what I mean? This is frustrating. Thank you, Mandy.
  9. I am pissed, Mandy. I have tried calling different band Dr.s, but none were in my insurance group. I tried to go to the ones in Joliet, (I live in Peotone) but the 3 I checked were not in my group. I just did not like the aftercare I received there, and they would not bill my insurance company and would not write out the correct procedures they did so i could even mail it in myself. I hope I like the new group better. (Can't be much worse) I went to the old website and it said I do not have access to the site. What Dr. do you go to Mandy that you like so much? I will try to see if he/she is in my network. Thanks!
  10. Yes Dr. Horgan left (no word until after he was gone) and I am not sure who took his place. I am going there Wednesday for a fill, so I guess I will find out what is going on. I wonder who left with him. I really did not like anyone there which is the reason I am going back now for a fill. Hopefully it is better.
  11. I am looking for a ew Dr. I live in Peotone and I need to get a fill and the drive downtown is such a nightmare with the Dan Ryan ripped apart. Does anyone have a Dr. that would take a new patient that needs fills in or close to my area? I am just curious if Dr.'s take patients with bands already and give them fills. Thank you very much!!!!
  12. My first fill was 2cc in my 4cc band. He did it under fluro and watched it close......kind of neat.
  13. Hi guys, I have a question regarding restriction. When you have good restriction can you ONLY eat a certain amount of food not counting on willpower to stop, or do you always have to have willpower to stop eating at a meal? I got a fill on Jan. 4 (2cc in 4cc band) and I am trying to figure out if I need another one. Thank you,
  14. I got my period the night before surgery and I too was handed the mesh undies and huge pad. The strange thing was that by the evening after surgery my period was gone. Now I am wondering when it will return!
