Ok I was sleeved 12/14 and on 12/30 I am hosting a get together with my four BFFs. Two besties do know about my surgery. Two do not. I want to make at least one dish I could also nibble on. It doesn't need to be high protein just purée consistency, not too high calorie and yummy enough that my guest would also like it. Maybe a dip or casserole? Any ideas? -

Thanks for all the great ideas! One of the responses gave the idea of doing a skinny version of my hot Maryland crab dip. Just pass on the crackers. -

I was sleeved Monday (12/14) and it has not been all butterflies and unicorns but have never been so optimistic in my life! Absolutely no buyers remorse from me! -

People a lot younger than us get sleeve and bypass. It based on BMI and co-morbidities not age. I think he is a surgeon just not comfortable with sleeve but wants to keep your business. Get a second opinion. Most surgeons are moving away from band. Many of the sleeves done are lapband revisions because they are failing. -

Wow you are doing great! I was sleeved Monday. Barium test wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It was relatively quick. At that point I would have done anything for a slip of water. They didn't allow ice chips. -
I was sleeved on Monday 12/14 and doing great too! If the soup tastes good please share the recipe.... the cream of chicken I just made was not so great. Canned Soups made me sick before because of the MSG so I don't want to try them.

I was sleeved Monday (12/14) and had one day the hospital. I am actually hitting my liquid goals. I started full liquids today and did great. Very little pain today. The only reason I even took pain meds today was I over did it wrapping gifts and doing laundry. Everyone is different and some people are still in the hospital at this point. -
I have read people getting a "drain", does everyone get a "drain"

I was sleeved Monday and I did have a drain. I had it removed Tuesday before I went home. I worried about it so much but the removable was a non-issue. No pain or even discomfort.
