As a daughter, now is your time to "give". Give your dad all of the love and support that you can and then give some more. Be strong enough to know and fulfill HIS wishes, graciously and with dignity. That is what a daughter does. I know. My father passed away slowly over a five month span. Dignity and grace. I made sure he had those two things--which were vital to him. Sending prayers up for you and your father.

Congrats! I would either order one in two or three different sizes, have one custom made by someone who is able to do last minute alterations. What fun!!!

I have not - but when I was taking my chewables (I paid for them, doggoneit I was going to use them) I had to have them with applesauce or a flavored drink because I didn't care for them. the calcium were better, but I'll be glad when I've used them up and can go back to regular.

Basically you already had one metabolic reset. The 2nd one isn't going to work the same. The point of a revision is to make it easier to eat right with less stress, but it isn't going to work like the first surgery for most people. There are a few people here that have lost a lot with a revision, but most people lose very slowly after a revision.

I will make a point to discuss this with him at my next appointment. Thank you for your explanation. I still don't understand why a body gets only one great metabolic reset, lol. He should have told me!

I have not seen one person on here who actually lost 30 pounds (much less 40 pounds) in the first month. If you see those numbers, they are typically including their pre-op diet weight loss. I lost 12 pounds in the 1 week liquid pre-op diet and 12 in the first month FOLLOWING surgery. Seriously, you have to find a way to not focus on what others say. It will make you miserable and it is more than likely not accurate info.
