I agree, feeling frustrated does not help.
Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process of losing weight. We all stall periodically, and almost everyone stalls about three weeks post-op.
    Just follow your program.
    Track your food.
Focus on getting in all of your Protein and fluids.
    Avoid starches and added sugars.
Take your Vitamins and supplements as instructed.
    Exercise when cleared.
    And, stay off the scale.
    Embrace the Stall!

This is completely normal. Do a search on this site for stalls, there is a ton of info on it.
Your body needs time to adjust and weights fluctuate. Your first week loss was very very significant.
    Congratulations!

I got stuck at 2 weeks for 5 days and then lost two pounds. Then I got stuck at 3 weeks for about 10 days. It happens and in the grand scheme of things not a biggie. Keep doing the right things, and the right results will follow.

I have a 2-3 week stall (sometimes gain a few pounds during) every single month when my period starts. And yet, I've still managed to lose over 100 pounds since surgery in less than 6 months. 24 pounds in a week is freaking unbelievable - imagine how much your body is freaking out right now, trying to balance itself. It thinks you're in a life and death crisis. Be patient with yourself and in 6 months to a year you'll be amazed at how far you've come.
We didn't get obese overnight and we aren't going to get healthy overnight either.

not eating can be just as detrimental as eating too much in terms of losing weight. Also... you lost almost 2 pounds a day for the first couple weeks. Your body is probably just going a little insane, thinking you're starving to death and dying, and is trying to preserve what fat stores you have. Just keep up with your Water, Protein, and Vitamins, and you WILL start losing again. Just have to be patient. In a couple months the stalls with have meant nothing because you will catch up. I mean, you've lost 30 pounds in less than 30 days. That is NOT normal for our bodies, so it makes sense that they would need a little break every now and then. But you really, REALLY have to keep up with getting food and water into you. It's vital for your health, and that's the whole reason you had surgery in the first place. Don't stress!

I completely understand what you are saying! My surgery is Jan 6th and my mind is racing! I am nervous about the procedure, but about everything in the months after. The idea of me at 150 lbs lighter is what I keep dreaming of!

Hi. I'm new to this but I am super excited to be taking this journey. Although I am excited I am also worried I will not know how to eat or worried I won't get enough Protein or vitamins!! Hopefully with all this support it will help!!
I have never been skinny and right now I am at my heaviest of 314 lbs 6'0 tall. My goal is to lose around 120 pounds. Not sure if that is realistic or not. But I just want to feel healthy again and start working out and working on myself. I have spent so many years focused on other people in my life that right now is my time to shine!! I'm ready for a change!
