  1. I don't love Starbucks but sometimes on the road it's the only option for caffeine. I really don't like the way their regular coffee tastes burnt. I usually drink coffee black or w milk but can't stomach the Starbucks. Are there any flavored options there that are bari friendly there? Like a no carb mocha?
  2. Biking along reforma must be fun. I usually stay in La Roma or Condesa and last time I was there was the first time I felt small enough to try the riding an ecobici around. I bumped that other thread. Good suggestions in there. Enjoy DF!
  3. @@trekker954 here you go
  4. It's tough. I had surgery in July and have been dealing with it as well. I made a thread about it a few weeks ago and there were lots of strong suggestions from people on how to deal with it. Will try and find it for you. PS- DF is one of my favorite cities in the world!
  5. I have a gazillion food allergies (incl melons- just like you!) and also found out I was celiac through the VSG process. It's so much easier to diet when you have fewer choices! Seriously. I am often the most irritating guest at a dinner party but it's all good because I wasn't going to eat more than a few bites of food anyway. Your sense of humor will carry you through.
  6. It's definitely normal to feel weak honey. Just focus on rest and meeting your hydration goals as much as possible. Getting your fluids in will help you feel stronger. But take it easy and rest up.
  7. She doesn't even go here!
  8. I skipped the pudding and Jell-o. I relied heavily on broth with protein powder mixed in. I didn't mind the occasional sugar free Popsicle though. I was also fine with drinking plain water mixed with unflavored protein powder. A lot of people on here think it's gross, but it worked for me.
  9. I eat as much as 1300 calories a day, never less than 850 and I'm very happy with my loss. I too am often surprised at how few calories many on here report consuming. I'm almost 5 months post-op.
  10. Get a cloth measuring tape and take comprehensive measurements while you are still pre-op! Measure your neck, chest, arms, waist, hips, thighs, calves, ankles and write it down somewhere. It's a great alternative to watching the scale and you'll find it thrilling to keep track of how many inches you lose in different places.
  11. I don't really like to be cuddled. The sex has to be really good for me to be into it.
  12. They can do phenomenal things with injections these days. Bethenny Frankel softened her jaw with Botox for example.
  13. If you don't have the munchies it shouldn't be an issue. That's the main thing to watch out for post-op. I've smoked several times since surgery and it doesn't affect me any differently than it did pre-op.

Yeah so I finally did this last night. I left for a tropical vacation this morning and I have a sexy new bathing suit with lots of cut-outs on the abdomen and it did not look cute with my stomach peeking out 3 shades whiter than the rest of me so I went for it. I have no idea what I was so worried about. Yes, I'm way thinner than when I started this thread but I have a small stomach overhang stil. I didn't move it out of the way or anything. The technician just sprayed me like it was no big deal, because t wasn't a big deal obviously she sprays naked people with all kinds of bodies all day long! It felt really good and I look cute with a nice glow. NSV!
  15. My theory is that people give up on surgery due to the waiting periods and some of them actually die.
  16. I've been measuring once a month. Head to toe I do: Neck Bust Upper arm Waist Hips Thigh Calf Ankle
  17. sounds like dumping, but maybe it was food poisoning from eating at a gas station.
  18. I kind of don't miss food. There's something I find really soothing about eating the perfect portion of something kind of boring that's solely there to nourish and fuel me- not to satisfy any cravings or to be delicious. It's rhythmic and routine now and I prefer that structure to the way I used to eat. That said- plenty of people on here manage to eat great tasting, creative, enjoyable food and still stick to their plan! They probably don't miss food either !
  19. My friends know my drink of choice is generally tequila and soda w/ lime. Looks exactly like seltzer w/ lime.
  20. I use my digital food scale quite often and it was especially helpful in the beginning because I honestly had no clue about portion sizes. Still use it almost every day. The other good tool for me was the Blender Bottle. I use it when I travel for Protein shakes.
  21. Xanax for me. I'm legitimately stressed out over this.
  22. No one, besides my medical team and you guys.
  23. Yeah bodycon dresses and bodysuits and skirts is the best look for me right now. I'm really struggling with pants because I've now got an almost completely flat butt but still have a small front butt of loose skin and stomach fat. Will have to work on butt building exercises over time and eventually plastics but for now, with the exception of leggings on the weekends, I'm basically a no pants zone. The shopping is nonstop though. I had been wearing a latex waist trainer some days (I know, I know) which is supposed to get really warm and was still cold. But I've been in south Florida working for the last week so suddenly couldn't relate to my own thread anymore. Even in A/C rooms or right now I'm posting on a plane I'm not cold. I think the difference is that in NYC it's always cold and I never get a chance to warm up but in FL I retained some of the warmth from outside. Or maybe my problem has suddenly vanished, like the random knee pain I had last week. Who knows.
  24. @@amiskinnyyet that sucks that you weren't given a plan. You should check if there's anyone else at that practice like a PA, a nurse or a nutritionist that can help you out with guidelines. My plan allowed me to try scrambled eggs at day 10 post op and "soft foods" at day 20.
