  2. I eat yoplait Greek yogurt and did so when I was cleared for purred foods.
  3. I think my mom had a mom that was concerned about weight. It caused my mom to not help me when I was younger and doctors told me to lose weight. She'd say that I was fine when I wasn't. I'm glad she did berate me about my weight but I also kind of wish she helped me get healthier as a kid. But that's in the past and she was supportive when I had the surgery so all is fine.
  4. @@cookarue I have seen those, but it says they don't sell them near me

  9. @@Djmohr no, i just saw a gq article and the guy said it tasted like regular ice cream to him. It popped up on my Facebook this morning, so I had to research it.
  10. For those times when you need to cheat, but don't want to ruin everything. http://www.halotop.com I haven't tried it, but I'm tempted if a craving hits.
  11. @@echopkb I was allowed one potato a day on mine. But I know everyone is different.
  12. My surgeon's office told me not to chew post op. I've never been a big gum person, so it hasn't bothered me. I'm not completely sure the reasoning, though.
  13. The oh yeah one is really good!
  14. I do quest when I eat protein bars. I don't eat them everyday just those hectic ones.
  15. @@Bufflehead this is very helpful! I had an epidural block, so once I'm cleared to exercise again hopefully I can start on my normal routine and do this. I have been adding a few calories hopefully it will all level out smoothly.
  16. I had a surgeon explain the difference between the two very effectively and I was set on having the sleeve, then I met with the surgeon (I moved) that actually did my surgery and he recommended the bypass due to some of my medical conditions.
  17. I hope my body slows down soon. I've had two people close to me tell me I'm own my way to looking like a skeleton.
  18. So I hit my goal weight this past week, which is exciting, but now I'm trying to transition to maintaining. I know everyone is different and I am going to call my nut, but in the past they haven't been helpful. So I'm asking at you vets. 1. How did your transition go? 2. How did you learn what amount of food would maintain your weight? Trial and error? The thought of eating more scares me for the fact I've always needed to eat less, so it's weird that I'm now not needing to. I'm sure others felt this way too. Any tips/advice is appreciated.
  19. Not sure off the top of my head but can't go wrong searching Pinterest! That's were I've found a lot of blogs to help me.
  20. Work meetings were the worst when I was on the pre op and purée stage. Our bosses would order pizza and such and I'm just there with my Greek yogurt and it all smells so good
  21. I was only had nausea for like a week after. I took finnegran (sp?) and it helped me. Hopefully yours will get better soon!
  22. My coworkers kind of figured it out on their own because there is another lady that had it before she started and is very open about it and I was not. But, they noticed I was only eating yogurt and such when I came back and that I was losing weight pretty fast. They've been nice at least to my face and I work with all women.
  23. I can do them for a few bits then they taste like cardboard to me. But I wish I liked them for an easy snack in a pinch.
  24. When I did mash potatoes on the soft food phase o would cook them and pre portion out my allotted amount. That way I wouldn't eat more than I needed.
