When can I move from a chewable multi-vitamin to a capsule?

I asked my NUT this at my 2 week follow-up mainly because I have to take a B-50 complex capsule that has to be sprinkled into a tablespoon or 2 of water or protein drink and it's AWFUL! She said that if I'm doing well at my next check-up (which will be a total of 8 weeks post-op), she'll OK me to start swallowing it. I'm assuming I'll be allowed to swallow everything else at that point too, and when these chewables are all gone, I'm getting pills!

It's time for me to reorder and I don't want to order chewable a but since I'm just 1 month out that's probably what I'm supposed to do.

I thought I had to be on chewable until my 3 month post op follow up, turns out I could have gone to swallowing at 8 weeks when I went on full diet... oh well :)

Every program is different, you could probably call and talk to a nurse at your program and they would let you know.

I was swelling pills the day I went home from surgery. My dr told me it was ok.
