So tomorrow I go back to regular liquid diet and I'm so excited !! I'm getting really tired of jello and popsicles. Anyways do y'all have some good protein shake recipes ?? And what protein powder do you use ? I'm just tired of the pre made ones from my pre op diet . Thanks

Sometimes men don't think about things like that ... So communicate . Make him understand . Also I don't mean to overstep my bounds but it was just a thought ... You're not eating right now ... So maybe that's why he's eating fast food so much ? Because there's no cooking going on? Just a thought . I'm 4 days post op and my husband has been eating fast food/ microwave food. And he does eat in front of me until I look at him and then he leaves . Maybe it's a death glare lol I don't know . But good luck . Just try to communicate how you're feeling and work together so he's not eating in front of you

Hey there ! I'm in Alabama too:) I just had my surgery the 30th of March. The only thing I really used at the hospital was my phone charger and extension cord for it . I was having bad gas pain so I stayed up on my pain meds so I barely even used my phone. One thing I would bring tho is your own pillow , those beds get uncomfortable and you'll want something in between your stomach and the seat belt on the way home. The surgery went great even though they found a hernia unexpectedly and had to repair it during . I have minimal pain now but that could be from my hernia repair or it could be gas pain. Idk but it's not horrible just uncomfortable . Also I work for a bank so it's not laborious and I plan on going back in another week.. The 11th I believe . Good luck ! You got this

My oldest is 8 youngest 18 months. And I just told him I was having surgery but not what kind . He asked me the day before why I was having surgery and I just told him because I have to but it's nothing to worry about your momma is gonna be just fine . He didn't think twice about it after that . I even showed him my incisions when I got back home and he just seems interested in my well being rather than what I had and why...

Shopping is my reward . I plan on setting a goal weight and when I get there I'm gonna clear my closet out and get some nice new clothes I'm only 2 days post op so I have a ways to go. I've never been one for mani/pedi but who knows that might change now that I can't find my reward in food like I've always done before

Yeah

My incision near my belly button was bleeding through the gauze and when I took it off there was a huge blood clot. Is this normal? The nurse who discharged me saw the blood through the gauze. We put more in to see if it was still bleeding . And I also got two blood thinner shots before I left the hospital. Any thoughts??

I'm sorry to hear about your son. I'll definitely pray for you and your family. But yes a healthy momma means that momma can focus on her son.

With my insurance I had to go through them and be approved by everything before I could make an appointment with a surgeon. I'm nervous about this appointment. Can anyone tell me what to expect ?
