  1. I can't even believe that it'll be 5 months tomorrow since I've had this procedure. It's been one of the best decisions I've ever made. BEST! The 1st 2-3 months were an adjustment, but now I go out to dinner & to parties & do fine w/ food. I've learned to cut my food into much smaller pieces & I just slowly nibble & this allows me to keep up w/ my regular social activities w/ friends. I'm not afraid to just stop when I'm done & I take a lot of my leftovers home in a doggie bag:) Some days I'm super strict w/ healthy, low-fat Proteins & shakes, but I still have just a bite of what looks good--but I stop at a bite or 2. I could've NEVER stopped at a bite or 2 of the delicious stuff before this sleeve (maybe a bowl or 2)!!! Other days, I'll enjoy those favorite items, but I try to make sure to exercise on those days--even if it's just walking the dog. I'm trying to walk 3-5 times a week & just started a weight lifting class twice a week for the last 3 weeks. I'm grateful to be so mobile again. I'm almost 6'0 and have gone from 268 to 188. To the newbies, stick with your Protein first & don't get discouraged--keep moving. You've got some bright & beautiful days ahead of you!!!!
  2. Amazing! Keep u the awesome work[emoji106]

    Advice

I wish someone would've told me to use Colace stool softener sooner. Who knew constipation could be so miserable! Good luck!
  4. My mother had this problem--she was sleeved a year & a half ago and lost around 150 lbs in the first year. She has a hard time eating a lot at a time w/ acid reflux. She's since gained 10-12 lbs, but is around 5'8 and 140. She kind of got scared that if she were to get sick, she'd lose more. Never thought that losing too much could be a problem until I watched her go through it. Good luck increasing calories!
  5. Waking up in the morning empowered & excited about the new day & the events that it holds (..and not worrying abt what I'm going to wear!)
  6. Well, I'm 4 months out & have lost 70lbs! Never imagined I could lose this much in 4 months. I'm so thankful. My energy is up, my outlook is bright & this sleeve is one of the best decisions I've ever made. I had my check-in with the surgeon yesterday & was cleared for more rigorous exercise. I've just been walking so far, but I'm starting a weight lifting/core/cardio interval class on Monday...we'll see how it goes! Good luck to everyone on this fantastic journey!!!

    Traveling!

I traveled to Disney at 2 1/2 months & was glad to have my pre-made premier protein shakes as an occasional snack. Have fun travels!

  9. So thrilled to be back in the 100's...even if it's 199! I'm around 3 1/2 months & have lost nearly 70lbs. So thankful for this procedure & my new lifestyle that it brought about.

    Looking in the mirror

Funny on the retinol comment! True!!! I've found that those little whispers in my mind that come with thoughts of flaws & the "less thans" love to speak up when things are going well. Losing 85lbs in less than 4 months sound like doing well to me...don't let those thought rob you of your joy!
