Thanks for the comments ????. I'm looking for a nice Chinese buffet, maybe a cheeseburger with bacon, and a nice dessert.. I appreciate the " secret" that's sweet to know..I'm sure going to miss my Pasta ????..not much of a soda drinker but I've become sooooo addicted to yoohoos. I can clean a 12 pack in 2 days.. Again, glad to know in moderation I can one day enjoy them again . I guess with my big day coming ,I'm feeling like I'm never ever going to be able to enjoy some foods again.. Woooooosssaaaahhhhhh. I'll try to relax ????

Congrats !! I've lost 8lbs in my first four of eight day preop diet.. Looks like we are on the right path. Good luck ????

your awesome.. I just didn't know how to respond and that comment really struck me hard !! I mean I didn't say I was going to pig out, I just asked if I should feel bad that I wanted to. Oh well, thank you for bringing the words out of my mouth..

I'm sitting here at this very moment planning my eight day preop and tears are flowing. I'm going through so many different emotions . Is this normal ? I have 10 days to go before my surgery . I'm happy, sad, excited, depressed, crying, smiling..it's like every damn hour is a different feeling. I guess after months and months of planning, when it gets right down to it I can't believe this is really happening..

I wouldn't stress too much! My 2 week pre op is 2 shakes a day with a fruit or veggie, and a salad and lean meat for dinner.

Brandy25 today was the day . I will be starting an 8 day Liquid Protein diet to shrink the liver..kinda excited to see where it puts me at weigh in by the 18th.

Just had my preop and YES it is necessary for the liquid preop.. And here I thought I was getting away with npo after midnight.. Lol. I start in 3 more days . getting nervous and excited.

I have appt. On Monday. I will definitely ask or that may be the day I'm told I will be on one. I've taken care of many post op bariatric patients that come in for dehydration and you know I ask all the questions..lol.. But one patient told me she ate anything and everything she could right up to the end.. If it has to be done to further prevent any complications then I'm in..

On the opposite, I shouted to the world about my surgery. I have struggled my entire life with weight. I'm now 46 yo and I'm tired !! My bones can't handle the weight like they did when I was twenty !! Nobody and I mean nobody knows your inner self but YOU !!!! There is no easy way out !! I have friends that ask why because I'm just over 220 lbs..no matter how much over weight I may be, my body is tired !! This is a life changing experience that we are about to go through and I welcome it. I'm happy to hear your 100% yes on this because it's about YOU not them !! Gd luck ????

Congrats Brandy25.. I wish I could give advice also but I have a thread going now because some surgeons don't require a preop diet. I know my nutritionist had advised I get use to Protein Drinks, Water, broth, and such but never a strict diet . maybe I'm speaking to soon. I have preop appt on the 7th for surgery on 18th and maybe I'll be told about the diet then. Its like my brain has a bajillion things going on since I scheduled my date.. Ugh !!

I was hoping to drink my turkey on Thanksgiving but it looks like I can drink my ham for Christmas.. Hmmmm.. Ensure , I may have something there..lol.. Wow !!!! Thank you all for your responses ????.. I'm currently 229. High bp, borderline diabetes and cholesterol.. I take one bp med and I qualify through my insurance soooooooo in about 2-3 weeks I should be getting my RNY .. It's so hard when people say ,why ? I feel like you are not living my life !! The pain and depression are beyond out of control so I have no regrets for what I'm about to do . @ gigs525, I'm 46 and think I've lost 1000 lbs my entire life ,all to be gained back and then some . I'm sick of these TV, internet, and store advertisements taking my money for NOTHING in return. Even the prescription meds to lose weight was a waste !! I love this site ❤ I pray everyone finds a comfort zone and lives happily ever after. Thanks again everyone for your support and experiences..

I fear the same " lack of exercise ". I work 12 hour shifts and two hours of drive time makes me tired no matter how much I weigh. I'm trying to mentally prepare myself to do my best. Congrats on your loss and good luck ..thank you for your response. I guess I'm looking to see how well or even how much weight is lost in just the first month. I mean it is all liquid right ?

Hello, I am new to the site and I have been reading many stories that actually bring tears to my eyes.. As my date gets closer I feel major anxiety. I can't believe this is actually going to happen. Anyone on the site at a weight of 225-230 lbs pre surgery and if so how did it go your first month post op ? I have many many people say to me that I'm not big enough for this surgery. In my heart I know its what I need. The years I've struggled. I'm tired, in pain , and most of all depressed !! I can't wait to live again, smile again, and fit into my clothes again..
