@@Deuel30 My experience was pretty good. My insurance approved it right away. Do you have a surgeon already? My doctors office submitted everything and got it approved within 2 weeks.

Hi, I have anthem blue cross blue shield ppo. They cover almost everything. The hospital stay and Doctor. My out of pocket was only 247 dollars which was for the anesthesiologist. I had my insurance for only 3 months when they approved my surgery.

Hi I had my surgery on Dec 30, 2015 and I'm down 50 lbs I haven't had much support either. Most of my family/friends don't even know that I got surgery. I would like to make some friends from here too.

Hello Chiquita, I'm two months post op and I feel great! I've lost 42 lbs. The first month was really difficult for me I felt the same way you do. I felt weak, tired, lightheaded, I wasn't taking enough protein because I can't pass the protein drinks ugh they are so nasty to me now. Before surgery I could drink them all day but now they make me sick. Just keep going don't get discouraged it gets better. I used to read that all the time in forums but I didn't believe it I felt I was going to feel like that forever but it does get better. Good luck!

So I didn't go to the ER but I feel like the ER near by me is a horrible hospital. I would of waited there for hours and just for an IV cause I was dehydrated. Instead I showered again and had two Pedialyte pops and now my fever is gone. I rather wait until the morning for my doctor he is a little bit further but he is a good doctor. I'm taking another week off from work though, so I can rest and hopefully they find out what's wrong with me. I got checked on Thursday and I didn't have a leakage. Thanks for all your advise lady's.

Hello all, I got sleeved on December 30th 2015. Everything went fine and I was already feeling better until today. I was freezing and shaking. I've heard that is normal because of the rapid weight loss. I've lost 17lb since surgery. I put on a heating pad to keep me warm and I walked around. I finally decide to take pain medication cause I maybe had a fever. Now I'm burning. I'm so hot I had to take some of my layers of clothes out. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I go to ER? I go back to work tomorrow, my doctor cleared that up on last Friday.

Well I just called my boss and yes I'm off tomorrow I feel horrible to call in sick but I still have a fever now it's 104. I took Tylenol with cod...but it just make me feel like I'm burning. My boyfriend already showered me w cold water and I have ice packs in my forehead. This is the worst I felt since surgery. What's wrong w me???? :'(

I just talked to him yes it's not normal to have a fever. I have a 103 fever. I have an appointment tomorrow make sure everything is ok. I go back to work tomorrow so at my lunch time I'll head over to his office to go see him. I feel really tired and have a huge headache. Thank you girls.

Day after surgery, I've been sleeping all day and taking pain medication. Until today I'm a little bit more awake and checking my phone. I still feel like I get tired easily. I've walked twice last night hope that helps for me to get better.

Fatchik84 hope you feel better....I'm waiting to get admitted to the hospital my surgery is at 8am this morning.

I need a buddy, I'm having my surgery on December 5th. I'm nervous, scared mix emotions. I'm 28 5'3 at 251lbs. I live in SoCal.

My surgery date was moved to Dec 30th.

I'm in the telecommunications industry. Due to year end I can't take more than a week off. I mean I can but I don't want to get behind and want to close the quarter meeting all my deadlines. What do you do?

BonitaF Yes I think we should be fine. I already order my liquid vitamins and chewable biotin since I'm scared of losing my hair. I'm also taking extra vitamin C right now since it seems like everyone around me is getting sick. My doctor said traveling should be fine but I do have an appointment before i leave.

Coccomo awesome I'm in Corona too. Thank you for the support. My biggest fear is that after surgery I'm going to feel horrible get headaches for not eating or feel weak. I'm only taking a week off from work and traveling 6 days after the surgery.

Thank you BonitaF...yes we can be buddy's. How are you doing with your pre-op diet? I'm been trying just to drink protein shakes which is not a problem but I still feel like I need some solid food.

Hello everyone, my surgery date is December 5. I feel worried because I have a plan trip on Dec 11-13. My surgery date was supposed to be early November but it was pushed to December. The doctor said it's ok to travel just don't carry anything heavy. I'm taking a 1% of risk. Well hopefully I get well soon. Good luck to y'all ????
