  1. @@jj7481 your so right about that! I take it your insurance/Doctor didn't require one? I've had lots of EKG's. They're simple. Lay still-done. Love it. Probably the simplest test to get. Just with cardio I had to have an EKG, chest X-ray, stress test and an echocardiogram! Crazy! I sometimes get flutters in my chest and my husband will run an ekg on me just for safety precautions. (Fringe benefits) lol. I am allllll done! At least I better be! CrZy thing is my insurance isn't asking for all of this! My doctor is! How far out are you?
  2. @@Djmohr How did your nuc med test go? Have you gotten your results? Are you ok? Yes that Med they gave me was horrible!!!! I so hope I never have to do that again! I got nauseated and flushed and a headache! The rush itself lasted about 5 minutes but the lingering feeling lasted for a good 45 minutes. She said some people get hit pretty good and others it doesn't affect them at all. So weird. Thanks for writing to me???? Glad today is done! And this also makes the last of all my testing!
  3. Holy cow your right! Your day is just as crazy as mine was today! I don't mind all the running around usually but it's so so cold here. The last thing I want to do is run around and be outside! Good luck to you at all your appointments today!
  4. Well that didn't take long at all!!! Congrats!!!
  5. Good Luck Shotzy!!!
  6. Hi! Checking in with you. I know we've talked before. I wanted to see how your doing. Bypass too instead of sleeve huh. Our time is closer. I go back to my surgeon second Thursday in March for my last follow up then the ball should get rolling!
  7. I'm so excited for you all! So close. Dawn you have done so well. I wish you the best of luck with your surgery! I too was diagnosed with Barrett's and I'm being told now no sleeve. I too will be having the bypass. We will have to keep in touch with each other on here to see how everyone does! I'm not scheduled yet but planning an April surgery. I'm at the hospital now for my echocardiogram and stress test! Last of the testing!
  8. At the hospital right now getting the last of all my required testings. Echocardiogram and a Stress test. They just put the IV in me to get things started. They gave me a glass of ice water to start the injection to work and they'll call me back in 45 min. Do the first part of the stress test at a resting state then inject me again and test me at an active state. (How active can you be without morning coffee!) I have a foot fracture so they will be doing part 2 with a stimulant to make my heart be in an active state. Then I go for my echo. 3hrs for first test and shouldn't be long at all for my echo. After this I'm off to the dermatologist! Long day... Anyone else out there have any testing to do today?
  9. Good luck Ryn! I hope that phone rings soon!!!
  10. I don't have a date just yet. One more month till my last visit then we will work on that process. I still need to talk to my doctor about is he for sure wanting me to have the bypass apposed to the sleeve.
  11. I'm having the RNY Gastric Bypass. Thank you!Me too! Where are you located?
  12. Which surgery are you having? Congrats on your approval! So exciting!
  13. Hi Nicole. Are you getting bypass also?
  14. Ratios are pretty close to the same loss believe it or not. I was surprised to see the scores. I'm sure you are good and tired of being poked at and all the hearing that goes with surgery. I wish you luck and I hope this works for you. I'm sure it will. I give you credit to keep on trying????
  15. Best of luck to you!!! I hope all goes well for you!!!
  16. Seems like you have it all under control and are well in your way. Sad you had to wait for a seminar. Why couldn't you still start without the class? I too had to do all this. And yes a lot can be done all at once. Drink lots of water. That will help with hunger for your 5-10% loss. Time will go fast!
  17. Congratulations to you!!! Must be a wonderful feeling!
  18. Perfect! Talk with ya soon????
  19. That's awesome! So exciting to be so close! What made you decide bypass over sleeve?
  20. Oh wow that's so cool! Small world. How are you feeling these days? How did you do with bypass? I'd love to tak to you if you can and would want to. Private message me either on here or fb if your on there and we can talk. Dawn
  21. Your sweet. Thanks so much! I'm excited but scared of what they will decide for me. I really would rather not have the bypass. Your on a roll! Congratulations on such wonderful success! You have to feel like a whole new person! How exciting!
  22. Good luck Lisa. My 6month will be up in March.
  23. Anyone out there currently scheduled or recently out of surgery that would like to chat?
