I am now 2 years post Gastric Bypass (Feb.2016). And 160 lbs lighter. I had a total knee replacement October 2017 and with no exercise for 6 months I’ve gained 14 pounds. I need to get back on track so I’m following my post op regimen and exercising again. I will lose the weight, I know. It’s just easy to get frustrated. I was told a bypass is only another tool and not an end-all to weight loss. That is so true. You have to fight every day to keep old habits from creeping back into your life. After knee surgery, pain and isolation took its toll on me. Winters in Alaska are tough even when you’re healthy. After a surgery it’s even tougher. I am keeping a positive attitude now. Spring is here and long daylight is here! Good days ahead!
