  1. I began my journey with my highest weight being 491.1. I had my surgery date 12/28. As of today, I am at 402.2. I thought I would have lost more but I guess everybody isn't the same and I have to remember I am only 3 months out. I was seeing ppl post 150+ pounds losses and I thought I could achieve that. But these next 3 months I am going to be putting in Major work so that I can achieve the goal that I have set for myself. I just need to focus on eating better, and cleaner. No complications, thank God. Went from a 5-6XL shirt to a 3XL. My pants size are slow losers for some reason, I only dropped about 2-3 sizes. Still able to wear the same jeans as before but they are a little bigger. When I get time I will upload progress pics! Everybody have a good day and tell me about some of your journeys!
  2. He said due to my size he felt it would be better off to start with the Sleeve
  3. Hello, My Dr. recommended I switch from the Gastric Bypass to the Gastric Sleeve today, he wants to do it in two parts. Gastric sleeve first to lose weight and then to the Bypass later on. Have anybody had this done? He also said if I am satisfied with the weightloss from the sleeve I can just stick with it and get the Bypass. My surgery is Monday 12/28.
  4. Is this normal? I am on day 3, and starting on day 2 I been peeing almost every 40-60 minutes. Is my body supposed to do this, I am worried!!! HELP!!
  5. So I am starting my 2 week liquid diet. I am scared I am not going to make it. How did you guys fare? Did you drink Protein when you got hungry or have a set schedule for when you was drinking it? What all did you drink? I do need to buy some Jello and yogurt today when I get off of work. Share with me your experience being on the 2 week liquid diet. Thanks Starting at 491.6 due to my "Last Supper Week" I got to the point of where I no longer wanted to eat.
  6. Hello, I am getting the bypass on 12/28. Once I am healed and get cleared to workout again, is there any tips on having enough to workout? Like I play competitive B Ball for hours at a time on Fridays, is there anything to help me as far as energy? Will it be harder to lift weights? Any suggestions?

    Working Out after the Surgery

Guys, Is there anything I should know about working out after I get the sleeve? Like will I still be able to lift and gain muscle the same? Will I be able to push my self? Also, I love playing basketball, is there a possibility of still playing once I get cleared by the DR's and everything?

  10. Hey guys, I was submitted for approval to the on 11/6. I called almost everyday since then for updated. How long does this part of the process usually takes. I'm undecided if I want to have the surgery 2015 or 2016.
