    Old habits creeping back

Like many others here, weight gain is a big issue for me. I'm curious what others here eat on a daily basis. I stated at 367 and got down to 228 (I'm 6' tall, now 53 years old). My goal was to get under 200. After a couple months of not tracking my food, I found myself back up to 242. I'm back to cutting carbs and trying to keep my protein at 70 grams a day, focusing mainly on vegetables. I generally work out about 3 times a week (cardio + weight training). I usually end up eating in the range of 1300 - 1500 calories a day. I thought at that range, I should be losing weight at a pretty decent rate, but that's not the case. I'm wondering how many calories other guys eat in a day. Thanks.

    Getting Enough Calories w/o Grazing

Interesting, I have the exact opposite problem. I'm about 1.5 years post surgery, started at 367 and am currently at 228. I eat low carb (under 20 net carbs per day) and generally in the 1400 - 1600 calorie range, and the scale is not moving. Unfortunately with work and a long commute, I don't exercise as much as I should, but still manage to hit the gym several days a week.

    Two month long stall

I had the same issue at one year out. For three months I stayed within about a 3 pound range, and I still had 30 - 40 lbs to go. It made no sense to me as I was averaging about 1700 - 1800 calories a day, and as a still somewhat fat 6 foot tall guy who works out 3- 4 times a week, that's not a lot. I was always hitting 80- 90 grams of protein, but truth be told I had allowed junk back into my diet, even at my relatively low calorie range. I switched up my eating habits and am now doing low carb/keto, and the weight is coming off again. As I approach goal, I'll start adding in more healthy carbs.
  4. Mine is 5 weeks - and I'm currently still in the stall. It's driving me crazy, but I know its going to end at some time (and hopefully soon).

Guy's Room - Just some dude talking sh_t!

Wow, here I thought it was just me! I had no issues pre-op, but during the pre-op liquid diet I thought I was going to die. Seriously, how could something that big come out of something so small? It was unreal. Dr. had me on Miralax and colace - I don't think either worked. I'm only 8 days post op and it's again a concern. I had my first post-surgery bm this morning, although relatively tiny. I know there's more in there. They've got me taking colace daily and supposedly, if I can't go more today they want me to use a suppository to make me go. I hope this gets better as I start eating again.
