L.Harmony got a reaction from 60&goin4it in October List of Surgery's
It's been interesting for me.... today is day 75, I finally went and got smaller uniforms at work, which I had been putting off I didn't want them to be to tight. My job can be physically demanding. Plus who wants to be Stuffed into clothes for 8+hours. I've been wearing the new ones, but even they baggy. Since surgery I've loss around 37 pounds. I go to the gym for at least an hour 4 times a week, mainly cardio for now...I'm still having an issue with my hair. It used to be so thick and now I run my hands through it or take a shower and I have a whole handful in my hands.
    HW: 298
    SW: 252
    Current: 215
    Good luck everyone

I had my surgery 10/7/15, 3 month follow up is 1/14/16. I am down 45.5#. since surgery and 93# overall since July 2015. I just went over the 1/2 way point for my weight loss goal. Congrats to everyone! I know there has not been one day since the surgery that I haven't been grateful that I finally did this.

@@anewme2015 I don't count calories I just count my Protein. I try to get between 60-80grams a day. I start off with a vanilla Premier Protein shake in my coffee for Breakfast giving me 30gm start. I have one snack a day of lowfat string cheese for 8gm more. I try to eat some meat with cottage cheese at one of my meals, & the other just about anything, if it doesn't have much protein in it, I may add some unflavored Protein Powder to it. Glad things are going well for you!!!

I went to my GP today & I weighed, 198 !!!! Yea!!!! I broke the 200 mark! So Happy!!!! Doing well with the holiday meals, I try a bite of most things without sugar now & still haven't had any problems. My Water is still an issue with me, trying to get my 64oz by the end of the day. I seem to forget still, but other than that, no problems with Protein amounts!!! Hope everyone is having happy holidays!!! Can't wait to hear about your progress!!!

Thank you @@60&goin4it!! You are the glue that keeps this group together. We are blessed to have you. Merry Christmas to you and your family. I'm doing well too since surgery October 15th. It still amazes me the changes since then. Losing weight, needing new clothes, being energetic, confident, humble, and sociable. Incredible. We have so much to be thankful for this Christmas! Thankful for others, even those who were negative about our choice for surgery and for those who may not be so happy that we are losing weight. Those are the ones who (subconsciously) push us the hardest. Merry Christmas!!

I know those jitters! Don't let them stop you from living your best life. I had my bypass Sept. 10th of this year. I am 54. In three months I have lost 52pds! It is still by far the best decision I ever made! Soooooo glad I didn't listen to those jitters! Let's do this! My prayers are with you!

@@whoahbabyy can you drink the premiere Protein vanilla shakes? It taste so good 1/2 & 1/2 with coffee. It gives me 2 cups to enjoy in the morning without going over my 1 cup limit, & maybe coffee isn't so bad diluted with protein shake!! . They only told me caffeine is dehydrating, but since I drink all my Water I figure its ok. I think you should still enjoy your tradition on Christmas morning its not that far off from Jan 14, just make sure you drink plenty of water!

I'm 6 weeks out, the first week was the hardest for me. I questioned myself about surgery, but the doubt never lasted long. My recovery went smoothly. I would forget and needed to be reminded I just had surgery. The night before surgery I started a notebook called "The next Chapter, began on October 28, 2015" I wrote down everything I was thinking, feeling and accomplishments. Anything that crossed my mind it probably doesn't even make sense. I continue to use this notebook. I try to write in it daily. I have decided I will not look at any of the entries until my one year mark. That way I can look back at my feelings and appreciate everything I have accomplished. Now this isn't for everyone. But it worked for me. There will be difficult days. I felt like you do, up to the night of surgery. Do I really want this, do I really need this? I had to accept the fact I wouldn't have worked this hard to make it happen if it's not something I want or need. The whole process took a year for me to complete. (Insurance hoops)
    I would do it again.

Ended up being that I had an obstruction so they had to put a balloon to open up my sleeve a little. But I am doing better now just getting my energy back little by little. but other than I am 2 months post op & I am down 57 lbs 3 pant sizes down! So I am very happy about that

I had my 6 week appointment yesterday. My doctor was happy with my weight loss. She said to keep working on getting all of my Protein and Water. She is really happy with my results so far, 25 pounds. She thinks I be very successful. I have another appointment in 2 months. Good appointment.
