  1. Struggling! Last 2 weeks no weight loss and last 5 weeks weight loss slowing down to 1lb a week - snacking too much and eating way too much bad crap. Slowly old habits have crept back in. I never thought I would be struggling this early on and jeopardising everything. I really need to get back on track ASAP - went shopping today and plan to start tomorrow getting on track. Really hope I can cut out the crap and start eating well again.

    8 weeks post-op (sleeve)

Hi @innersurfergirl I am wondering how you are doing with your hair considering your high protein intake? Have you managed to avoid or minimise hair loss!? Sent from my HTC One M9 using the BariatricPal App
  3. I am almost exactly the same! Same surgery date, I was 274lbs on surgery day & now 240lbs! I lost 20lbs before surgery so 54 lbs down in total
  4. I am super enviable of all the options they have in US, especially this Isopure clear Water stuff!! I'm using The Protein Works protein,it's a UK based online company I've tried 6 flavours and hate them all but they have countless more. Now I'm buying unflavoured and adding sugar free cordial, I still hate it but it's better than those rotten fake flavours! Some people like them but u can't get past the fakeness!! 5. I feel like that already at 6 weeks! It's so hard! Sunday's are the hardest after a tough gym session I want to eat all day! Sent from my HTC One M9 using the BariatricPal App

Slow weight loss after the sleeve

I'm frustrated too with slow weight loss but I'm so worried it's because I am going something wrong rather than because 'everyone is different'. I don't have a proper meal plan or ongoing support. I was sleeved abroad and I am struggling to find a NUT who has bariatric experience! Of course I've garnered information from all over the web and I think I'm on track but its hard second guessing yourself. When I read the endless comments about stalls and slow lose I just think everyone is afraid that this isn't going to work for them! Sent from my HTC One M9 using the BariatricPal App
  7. I feel your pain! I posted something similar a few weeks ago and someone just said you need to treat it like medicine! So now I just power through even though they are vile!
  8. Reading the comments, you can really see that everyone is different. I am only 5 weeks out but really struggling with my old demons - it is just as tough as a 'normal' diet, pre being sleeved. It is all about making the right choices & not giving in to the old temptations! From reading other peoples comments, I feel as if it is too early for me to having such a difficult time but like I said everyone is different! I really hoped I would be one of those people who wouldn't be hungry & who would have to remind themselves to eat but I am not so it is going to be an ongoing battle but I really want this to be a success so I will keep trying until they come up with the neuro-sleeve!
  9. Wow, thanks for the great reply! what an enviable position to be in, I love your attitude! I really hope I can get there one day
  10. I am experiencing some serious cravings since one day postop - I am now almost 4 weeks postop & I haven’t properly cheated but that is only purely down to fear! I am really interested to see how soon people had a cheat meal or junk food after the surgery? Also, how many of you have completely removed all the old junk food from your diet? Or how many of you allowed yourself treats in moderation? I just had my first post op visit to my psychologist and we were discussing whether I am one of those people who can do moderation or else whether I need to consider completely removing the junk FOREVER! I’d appreciate your honesty as always! Thanks, J
  11. I am only 3 weeks post op and having all the old cravings, even the first week I kept thinking 'oh I cant wait til I can eat that again' - getting sleeved changes nothing! Getting to grips with these feelings are so hard to deal with - going through the entire surgery process only to be left wanting to self-sabotaging so soon! I guess it is a process, I am seeing a psychologist to help me with this & I really hope it works although it will be a very slow process.

    Endoscopy Concerns

I was told after mine that I had a lot of inflammation, the doc decided to prescribe me acid reflux tablets straight away and that was it, he said I would be on them after the surgery anyway! I am sure it is nothing to worry about
  13. Best of luck! I experienced minimal plan, nausea was the killer for me! You will feel better with every hour that goes by! it is incredible!

    Loosing weight way too fast

Yep don't worry because you are heading for a stall pretty soon! I had rapid loss the first 10 days too and then it slow down and now it has halted completely. Part of the process
  15. When browsing these forums before my surgery I would had scoffed at this & said 'why are you complaining?' but now I am in exactly the same situation and feeling exactly the same!! Like you I know that 'it is part of the process' but it is tough! We are all in rush to see the results of this bloody hard work we are doing! I am just onto the start of my fourth week post op and praying the scales will move, I am down 19lbs so far and the scales haven't moved in almost over 1.5 weeks now! so depressing! But we have no option but to just keep on going!
