    Need some advice

Hi, My name is Becky. I had my sleeve done March 17th 2016. I have lost so far 65 lbs. I was very slow to lose at first and then I was told by other people who had this done that I wasn't eating enough. So I upped my calorie intake to 600 to 800 calories per day. I was also told by my Dr and my NUT that I am only supposed to be consuming only 1/3 of a cup of food per meal. There is no way I can eat 1/3 cup of food and up my calorie intake to lose weight. I know I am eating more than 1/3 of a cup of food. But with the added calorie intake I am losing weight. So my question is: What is everyone else doing? Were you told in the beginning to only eat 1/4 cup of food for the first 3 months then up it to 1/3 cup up to 6 months then go to 1/2 cup up to 1 yr then move up to 1 cup of food per meal for the rest of your life? I am confused...

How do you get the protein you need without over eating? What amount of food are you eating? What stages are ya'll at? I am only 7 weeks out. I was told I had to eat 2 meals @ 1/4 cup and 1 shake for breakfast until I am 3 months out then I can move up to 1/3 cup of food twice a day, then at 6 month go to 1/2 cup of food twice a day. Then at 1 yr I can go to 1 cup of food twice a day for the rest of my life. Of course that is with a shake for breakfast everyday.

I am getting anywhere from 300 to 400 calories a day between my protein shake, vitamins and 2 meals per day. I was instructed to get 60 to 80 grams of protein a day. I do not get enough with allotted 1/4 cup per meal of food. I haven't figured out how to get the right amount.

Thank you !!! I guess I just needed some reassurance from others who have gone through this. I am really proud of my progress with my weight loss and walking. As I stated I couldn't walk but 3 minutes when I started and then I had to sit down and use my oxygen. Now I no longer need my O2 and I am walking quite a bit... I just took all my measurements again to see what has changed. I know my clothes are fitting differently. And I don't have many I can wear at this point.... Which is a good thing...
  12. I am 7 weeks post op, I have lost 42 lbs so far. I am eating the proper amount of portions I am allowed for this stage. I have 1 premier shake for breakfast and 1/4 cup of protein for lunch and dinner. I know I am not consuming the proper amount of water and I am working on that. I weigh, measure and account for everything that goes in my mouth with Fitness Pal as well as track my nutritional values. I am walking approx 2 to 3 miles per day. With 1 mile of that being on a treadmill at 2.0 MPH.(I have COPD and can't do much more than this, although I started at 3 minutes per session in the beginning) I have hit a plateau and I can't figure out what to do for sure to get it kick started again. Can someone give me some advice on this... Please and thank you !!!!
