  1. I am a reality tv junkie....Survivor, Big Brother, Gold Rush, Alaskan Bush People, Mountain Men, Yukon Men, The Last Alaskans, Alaska The Last Frontier, Alone, My 600 lb Life...I'm sure I forgot some! [emoji12] Love them all!!
  2. It's that phase post op....the dreaded hair loss! I really need a cut and color....Just wondering if anyone knows if it's ok to color my hair during this process?
  3. I'm 4 months out and in the same boat....I've learned that you just have to ride it out and let your body play "catch up" .. It's very frustrating I know!
  4. It truly sucks!! [emoji12]
  5. That's a good question! While I would love to lose more each month...that would be kind of freaky! I'm 4 months post op and have lost 55lbs. I've had many stalls which is frustrating but it's part of the process....my Dr told me it's our body's way of "catching up" with the rapid weightloss ...whatever that means...lol
  6. I didn't tell my best friend I was having WLS until a few weeks after because I was afraid she would try to talk me out of it. I was pleasantly surprised how supportive she was after I told her. Her brother had RNY about 10 yrs ago and he has gained a lot of weight back, so I expected a lecture. I haven't had any "bad" feedback from friends or family yet and I'm 4 months Post op [emoji2]
  7. Have a safe and happy Fourth of July weekend!!! [emoji3]
  8. I had RNY 4 months ago...unfortunately I do not dump from eating sweets ....I haven't had ice cream, cake, doughnuts etc but I have eaten small amounts of chocolate and hard candy without any ill affects . It is what it is and I need to learn to deal with it in order to be successful...I have lost 55 lbs since surgery and 85lbs total [emoji2]. Slow and steady wins the race!
  9. I had gastric bypass in Feb...so I'm a little over 4 months PO....I too was afraid of dumping but I knew at the very beginning of this process that I wanted the gastric bypass. I think I had one minor dumping episode early on...I ate some creamy peanut butter too fast and I was uncomfortable for about half an hour....since then I have avoided peanut butter! I haven't vomited or had instant diarrhea from eating anything yet....I don't seem to have an issue with small amounts of sugar. I have only eaten whole wheat bread toasted...too afraid to try the really bad stuff like white bread, cake and doughnuts! I hope I continue to have that fear...lol...Good luck choosing!! Btw...my reason for choosing RNY was because of the long term data available , helps with heartburn ,and that you are suppose to lose a bit more then with the sleeve.
  10. My friend's Mother In Law told her that the reason she is fat is because she holds in her farts! So fart yourself skinny my friends! [emoji12][emoji12]
  11. Good luck! I'd go in too...something is not right [emoji53]

  13. I tried the lemon...Nasty nasty stuff IMO
  14. Yes you will!! I'm 4 months out gastric bypass and I can eat most things...just in small amounts. I did the low carb thing a couple different times in my life and while yes I lost weight....I would get sick of just meat and vegetables which lead to me going off plan , thus regaining the weight....I chose WLS so I have a tool to help me and be able to eat all healthy foods...lean protein, veggies, fruits and whole grains [emoji3] All of these things are on my plan. Good luck!
  15. @Fredbear....just saying this could be the case....I have an awesome Bariatric team [emoji7]
  16. I think some people don't want to bother their bariatric team for what they feel is a minor issue.
  17. Sorry you had a bad day....shame on your husband!
  18. I can't wait to get into the next size down....seems to take me forever! I too shop at Walmart and don't want to spend a lot of money on clothes at this point...I'm swimming in some of my tshirts but as long as they stay on ill keep wearing them! My issue with shirts is..why do they have necklines big enough to fit a dinosaurs head??!! Omg...my bra is always showing!! [emoji35]
  19. I like the taste of the Inspire protein powders but they just foam up too much for my liking...so I find the chocolate premade premier protein shakes the most pleasant for everyday use. I'm thinking the mug cakes sound good!
  20. Sure! Lol....maybe it will be another mild winter [emoji7]
  21. Hey now...it's 85 right now here in Bismarck , North Dakota! [emoji12]
