  1. Thank you Renkoss....it helps just to talk it out sometimes too! [emoji3][emoji106]
  2. Dr took me off the Reglan and my pouch is starting to calm down....I'm feeling much better physically and emotionally the past few days [emoji2]
  3. If WLS is such a horrible thing...why would insurance companies cover it?? Just saying..[emoji12]
  4. I guess men project their emotions differently [emoji2]
  5. I am almost 11 weeks post op and I find myself crying way more then I did pre op...Just curious if men have this issue too? Women are hormonal messes!
  6. I wore the same outfit coming and going, Chapstick, biotene mouth spray, toothbrush and paste , deodorant and clean underwear. I never touched my phone or IPad ...I could have cared less! The best thing I had was my husband [emoji7]
  7. Suzannie19 .....what medication do they have you on
  8. Cari, yes I'm taking omeprazole once a day...also taking Sucralfate and Maalox when needed. Thanks for asking. Sometimes it's just nice to talk about it rather then hold everything inside! [emoji4]
  9. I'm wondering if I have an ulcer too....I had a week of horrible cramps and diarrhea a few weeks ago followed by a burning pouch. My dr put me on Sucralfate and Reglan and I felt better up until the past 3-4 days. I've been having bad gas followed by diarrhea which comes on in the evenings and my pouch doesn't feel right...almost like heartburn. I hope they fix us up!! Btw..I'm 10 weeks post op
  10. I'm 10 weeks post op and still have moments of regret, especially lately....I've been struggling with what feels like acid reflux and extreme gas followed by bouts of diarrhea for the past 3-4 days...I feel good most of the day but then come evening and night it flares up [emoji20]. If I'm still this way come Monday I'm going to see my Dr again. We need to figure this out! I have bouts of depression too which I never had before surgery. Sorry I'm not much help!
  11. I agree...I do not like the Reglan at all!! I wonder if there is an alternative without the nasty side effects?
  12. I'm taking Prilosec too. I have been taking a probiotic for a couple weeks now. Something is irritating my pouch, I need to find out what. Now that I think about it, it could be my chewable vitamin. I wasn't taking it when I first started this medication and was feeling better. I've been taking it again for about a week or so and now I'm starting to have problems again....hmmmm
  13. Thanks for your replies...I will contact them tomorrow. [emoji3]
  14. I'm 10 weeks post gastric bypass and I have been struggling since April 6th when I suffered a week of horrible diarrhea and cramping and my pouch felt like it was on fire. My PA started me on Sucralfate and Reglan and everything started to improve almost immediately. I have been having ugly side effects from the Reglan, so today I decided not to take it to see if that's what's causing sleepiness, fidgety and depression. The verdict is YES, but at a price, my pouch feels aweful tonight [emoji53]. In addition to these issues I'm having a hard time reaching my calorie and protein goal because I just can't eat the amount I should be eating at this point. I'm feeling so defeated [emoji26] Thanks for listening. I'm not sure what to do next, my next Dr appointment is May 18th at which point I'll be 3 months post op. I have lost 40 lbs since surgery but I can't even enjoy it right now. Sorry for having a whoa is me moment but sometimes it just helps to talk to someone that can relate .
  15. Good luck!! I was shocked at how calm I was the day of surgery....I was so ready for it!
  16. Congrats on losing 140lbs!! I cannot give any advice as I'm only 2 months out [emoji3]
  17. I'm hoping it's just a virus or something Rebecca...it just sucks! [emoji12]
  18. I saw my Dr yesterday....she put me back on liquids for the weekend and if not better by Monday she may do a scope to see if I have an ulcer or blockage...I'm having a rough time staying hydrated since this all started...this is the 4th day of misery [emoji26] The worst part is the severe cramping ...thank you for asking
  19. Congratulations!! [emoji322][emoji322][emoji322]
  20. I ate out yesterday....had chicken and spinach salad....could it be food poisoning? [emoji16]
  21. I'm 7 weeks post op and last night I started having horrible cramping and diarrhea. It's almost 24 hours later and it's still there. I'm not sure what's going on...it didn't start until like 5 hours after I ate yesterday and now within an hour after eating I'm running to the bathroom ...I'm miserable!! Do you think this is dumping or a bug of some kind? I'll be calling my Dr in the morning if I still feel this way.
  22. My first consult was in early Oct. surgery was Feb 17th ...My insurance required 3 months diet and exercise and my surgeon wanted me to lose 20 lbs [emoji106]
  23. The pain wasn't all that bad for me...I had surgery on Wednesday and by Sunday I wasn't taking anything more for pain [emoji2] I was pleasantly surprised the first time they made me get out of bed after surgery...I thought omg this is going to hurt....nope didn't hurt much at all [emoji106]
  24. Don't beat yourself up...pick yourself up....dust yourself off and move on! Voice your concerns at your appointment on Wednesday....They are there to help you through this [emoji3]. Carbs are evil! I know what you mean there....I've been having mashed potatoes more then I probably should because they go down so well....I'm just over 6 weeks post op as well....We will make this work! Good luck at your appointment!
  25. It's perfectly normal to be nervous! You will probably experience some buyers remorse for a couple weeks but it gets better each day. I think it's a hormonal thing! I'm 6 weeks post op Gastric Bypass and just now starting to feel somewhat "normal" The thing that surprised me the most was the complete lack of energy in the first few weeks...everything seemed like such an effort to me...but everyone is different! My weight day of surgery was 295 and as of this morning I'm down to 267 [emoji3]...it came off rapidly the first week for me...then I hit a almost 2 week stall...that sucked! Good luck to you!!
