  1. Hey everyone! I need a little encouragement.....I have not lost a single pound in the last month and I'm getting very discouraged. I'm 11 months post op. Hw: 324. SW:295 CW:205. I was so hoping to be under 200 by my one yr surgiversary which is Feb. 17th. Im so afraid that I'm done losing! My losses haven't been huge by no means but I have been losing at least 5 lbs a month. This has been my longest stall since surgery ...almost 5 weeks [emoji853][emoji107]????
  2. Whistle....you look amazing Daniel! Congrats[emoji7][emoji106]
  3. 2 weeks for me [emoji3]
  4. Yay!! Good luck on your journey to a new you!
  5. Nerdgrl.....yes still losing weight but at a slower pace which is expected....I'm guessing it's hormonal too....I just hate feeling like a grouchy old [emoji199] ..before surgery I could just bury my emotions in chocolate and cookies!! Lol
  6. Just follow the plan given to You by Your team and you will do just fine! Good luck! [emoji106]
  7. Hopefully I adapt before I tear someone's head off...lol
  8. For the past couple weeks I have had what I'd call a "short fuse"....Has anyone else experienced this?? Could it be the onset of menopause? I don't even like myself when I'm this way [emoji107]???? I am almost 8 months post op and will be 49 yrs old in a little over a month. Another thing I have considered the culprit....I was able to stop taking my blood pressure medication about 10 days ago....withdrawals? Anyway...it's no fun [emoji107]????
  9. The hair loss sucks that's for sure....but losing 106 lbs does not!! [emoji12][emoji106]. It's all part of the process...I started using Nioxin shampoo and conditioner and the shedding has greatly diminished.....was it the product or just a coincidence?? Who knows, but I'm glad it has slowed down [emoji16]
  10. Trust me...it does get better...I felt the same way for a good month.....I'm 7 months post op now but didn't really start feeling like my old self until almost 6 months....our hormones get all out of whack with the rapid weightloss... Hang in there!
  11. Thank you everyone....it was a great feeling! [emoji7][emoji106]
  12. Daniel ...I did take pictures! I'll have to post some when I have a minute! Thanks!
  13. I achieved a goal yesterday that I never thought possible only a few months ago.....I did a four mile hike..half of which was a continuous climb and a lot of steps....In Rocky Mountain National Park , with my Husband and Son......We saw 3 lakes on this hike...Nymph Lake, Dream Lake and Emerald Lake. We also saw an elk laying just a few feet off the trail [emoji7][emoji106].....Having RNY has changed my life in so many ways...So worth the struggles along the way!!
  14. Some will not do it if you don't have insurance...mine doesn't ...good luck
  15. I saw my brother in law a couple weeks ago first the first time since I had surgery...he sees me and says ..Holy Sh*t girl....where's the rest of you!!?? You look great!! And he continued to carry on for a good 5 minutes...lol ...By far the best reaction I've had so far...I still chuckle about it [emoji3][emoji106]
  16. I dyed my hair during heavy loss...it didn't increase the rate of loss...I'm almost 7 months PO and mine has slowed down considerably...it started at about 4-5 months out for me....I bought some Nioxin shampoo and conditioner and that really seemed to help a lot
  17. Congrats! Just don't overdue it...it takes time to heal [emoji3][emoji106]
  18. I don't know if this applies to the sleeve as I had RNY....but I was told early on to toast my bread so that it doesn't expand as much ....and to stay away from the really soft "fresh" bread
  19. Who knew tacos could be so widely discussed....tacos=bad ...tacos=a**holes...tacos=nuts....etc etc...Lmao [emoji12][emoji106][emoji106]
  20. I'm guessing as long as it sit fine with you then it's all good ....I'm with you...I follow the plan given to me by MY Bariatric team ....and bananas are on my plan...been eating them since the puréed stage [emoji3][emoji106] Enjoy!!
  21. Yay....I hit my 100 lbs lost this morning [emoji7][emoji3][emoji106]
  22. I see so many posts about what people should and shouldn't eat....Its not a one size fits all.....I go by what MY surgeon and nutritionist advise ....some say no carbs....some say low carbs...some say a well balanced diet focusing on protein first....You trusted your surgeon to do the procedure...now trust in his/her team to aid you in the results you dream of achieving!
